Pine at McCormick Ranch Golf Club
About
The Pine Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club offers mature pines, in an appropriate contrast to its sibling golf course, the Pine Course, and is also narrower than the other golf course. What they have in common include the facts that Desmond Muirhead designed both of them and they both date back to 1972; recent renovations have also given both golf courses new greens, sand traps and bridges.
The Pine at McCormick Ranch Golf Club measures 7,187 yards, kicking off on a 398-yard par 4 that requires tee shot toward the fairway's center, leaving golfers a mid- to short-iron from the green, which slopes narrowly. Things get long by the fourth hole, one of four par-5 holes that come in at over 500 yards; this one, for example, makes you place your drive well toward right-center if you want to shoot for it in two. Close out the round of golf on the 18th hole, another long one, at 517 yards from the blue tees, and a tight hole to drive that will, thankfully, provide your last test for the day.

Golfer Reviews
Saturday Morning A Bit Crowded
I played as a single who was placed into a foursome. It was a very busy Saturday morning. Our group had fun and we enjoyed the course. It was in great shape and the layout of Oines was very nice.
Great course
First time here and had a great experience. Friendly staff as I arrived and got the cart ready. Checked in and went about the game. Cart girl showed up at hole 1 and had plenty of goodies. Grass was taken care of. Clean course. Fun course as well. Definitely coming back and definitely recommend to play here
Bunkers
Rumors have it they use this course as a qualifier for the Waste Management Open. I don't know how or why. For a course that has so many bunkers, they are in awful condition. Bunkers are either rock solid or filled with water. Player I was with used a putter out of the bunker to make it on the green. Unacceptable if you ask me. Go play elsewhere.
Owners don’t care
Great old layout completely neglected by owners. Bunkers are unplayable and full of standing water. Facilities are old and dank. Pace of play is totally unmonitored and marshals are non-existent. Range is sad. Just an awesome piece of property that would be worth twice the current greens fee if it was playable.
No complaints
Always great service and well manicured links. Challenging for all types players with some water hazards throughout. Only complaint on the Pine course is one hole is on the back end of the driving range so the fairway is littered with range balls. Marshall was very active with keeping the players advised on their pace of play.
GPS did not work in my Golf Cart
The GPS from my Golf cart did not work properly. The GPS signal connectivity was failing, so I have to use the old-school technique to figure out the golf course distances, just simple Math ( Lol!)
Review solely for tee off/ golf now
I booked this tee time then found a time that worked better for myself. I cancelled right away and no warning was provided for cancelling and told I will not get a refund. This was not on the same day of play and the course could fill the time. So now the course will make double on this time and golf now could as well. I get screwed for doing nothing wrong. I want a refund. This is so ridiculous. Just so sad that I have to go through this to get my money back for a round I did not even play or cancel on the same day it was scheduled.
Not worth the money
The golf course was in terrible condition. Every bunker we saw had water in it sometimes almost full. And if it didn’t have water in it it was like concrete. Absolutely terrible. I regret spending any money to play there at all. We quit after seven holes because the play was so slow and the course was such horrendous condition. The only positive thing about the course was the greens were reasonable.
If you can get a deal it’s worth playing
Nothing special here, feels like a muni. Greens in great condition, layout is not very challenging but plays well and has a few fun holes.
Water hazard within sand traps?
Sand traps with standing water, on most all holes on pine course. Very disappointing. It wasn’t worth the $90 to play. Won’t be back.
Fairways not in good condition. Dried out. Areas of no grass. Nice views and scenery. Starter not friendly. Staff inside not friendly.
