Starfire Golf Club - The King Course

I love golf. It takes a lot for me not to like a golf course.

I will tell you good things, bad things, and weird things about Stonecreek

Good Things.

• Electric carts are good

• The concession staff was friendly and professional

• Managed to get a 4.5 hour round

Bad Things

• Pricey for the condition of the golf course

• Teeny, tiny driving range.

• Mediocre range ball quality

• Tiny putting surface

• Micro-sized chipping facility

Weird Things

• I scheduled a tee time for 10:06 and received confirmation

• 2 days before tee time I received a re-confirmation for 10:15

• Arrived at the golf course and told my tee time was now 10:24

I was told, “Don’t worry about it, we had a conflict with the early morning golf league and anyway you still get to play.

Hmm.

Other than the tee boxes being extremely hard ( to the point it wood tees would break before you could get them in deep enough), it was a well kept and a great value!

Decent course for this time of year. Fairways good and greens in excellent shape. Price is high for an afternoon round. No staff/ranger to move the slow folks along. Took over 5 hours to play. Will come back in Summer when the rates are better and the Snowbirds leave

This course was in nice condition and very green. Although it is a par 70 course with 6 par threes instead of the usual 4, the par 3s were very challenging with 2 of them 200 yards over water. A fun challenging course to play with friendly staff.

Great course for golfers of various skill levels. Very welcoming staff. Greens in good condition and overall good pace of play for the price.

Decent condition, tee boxes can be rock hard and difficult to get tee in ground, but biggest problem is pace of play 5 1/2 hours. Waited and waited on every hole.

Overall a nice course for the price. My biggest issue was the 5 hr 15 min round from no pace of play management and it's a noisy course due to is proximity to major roadways with a lot of the holes running along the road.

I would try it again though as maybe the pace of play was one off for them.

Pace of play was terrible..always waiting which is not good. Around the greens were very beat up... Couldn't hardly get a tee in the ground on the tee boxes. Course could use some Maintenance! Too expensive for the conditions and pace of play. I do expect weekends to be slower, but one hole there were 3 groups waiting to tee off.

12:38 tee time on Saturday. Round took 5.hrs and 10 minutes. Three groups waiting when we arrived at the 8th tee. Morning ranger failed. Afternoon ranger was rude.

Wife and I got in 9 holes. Teed off at 4:00. $69 when they know you can only get in 9 holes seems a bit high to me but we had an enjoyable round with great pace.
