Convenient location
Decent condition, tee boxes can be rock hard and difficult to get tee in ground, but biggest problem is pace of play 5 1/2 hours. Waited and waited on every hole.
Decent course for the price
Overall a nice course for the price. My biggest issue was the 5 hr 15 min round from no pace of play management and it's a noisy course due to is proximity to major roadways with a lot of the holes running along the road.
I would try it again though as maybe the pace of play was one off for them.
Starfire
Pace of play was terrible..always waiting which is not good. Around the greens were very beat up... Couldn't hardly get a tee in the ground on the tee boxes. Course could use some Maintenance! Too expensive for the conditions and pace of play. I do expect weekends to be slower, but one hole there were 3 groups waiting to tee off.
Slow
12:38 tee time on Saturday. Round took 5.hrs and 10 minutes. Three groups waiting when we arrived at the 8th tee. Morning ranger failed. Afternoon ranger was rude.
Starfire
Wife and I got in 9 holes. Teed off at 4:00. $69 when they know you can only get in 9 holes seems a bit high to me but we had an enjoyable round with great pace.
Poor pace of play;
No ranger in the afternoon. Foursomes sharing clubs. Needed attention. While we played in the afternoon, could have finished if a ranger on site. Multiple times a hole open to move players. Additionally, on site drop off was disorganized and no carts available
Great value
Starfire is a great value. Course was in good shape but greens had a lot of ball marks. Ground was pretty firm at white Tee boxes. I’m definitely going back.
Starfire
Everything was good except for a shortage of carts which didn’t allow time to use the practice range. Also, there seemed to be one group that was holding up play but we didn’t see any rangers. When we played last week pace of play was good.
Not our first time
Cudos to the grounds crew-the course was in great shape from tee to green. 4 of us played in under 4 hours
Was on course for 5.5 hrs and didn't finish 18 holes.
Course is in great shape. New owners appear to be giving it attention. Sand traps actually had sand in them. Fairways are lush and greens roll really well crtainly worth the $100 to play but not the $150+ on weekends.
