Pace of play very slow, 2:06 T time had to quit on hole

16 do to darkness. Course was in good shape except for

T boxes, very hard to place a tee in ground without it breaking.

Enjoyed the course.

Exceeded my expectations.

Water the tee boxes. Near impossible to get a tee in the ground.

I was disappointed with this golf course. It takes a lot for that to happen to me. I love golf.

First the good news

• I liked the quality of the range balls

• I liked the electric golf carts

• I liked the starter

Things to that could have been better.

• Please no 5-hour golf rounds

• Please do not pack people into a tiny portion of the driving range

• Please have an effective course marshal

• Please have friendlier staff at the cart area when golfers arrive

• Please do not allow snarky staff to point out to a golfer that he put the golf cart in the wrong position at the end of the golf round

I havent played this course in over a year because it has always been in fair shape for the price.

This time it was in very good shape. The greens were very good except for the multitude of unrepaired ball marks. Not Starfire's fault. C'mon people, FIX YOUR BALL MARKS.

The bag attendee was neutral, not friendly and not angry. A better attitude would have been appreciated. The Pro Shop attendee was great. Friendly, and thankful for our patronage. The carts were not great. Only one sand bottle per cart and no ice chest. The carts seem a bit old as well. They worked fine though.

The only other issue was the front nine bathrooms were out of order. That was not good. Especially on a cool morning with most golfers in the 50+ age range.

If they keep the conditions up, I will gladly put this course in my regular rotation.

Course condition was good, no complaints. It took us 2 hours and 50 minutes to finish the front 9, that seemed a bit extreme. Be ready for a long day

If the people working on the course pays more attention to the pace of play will be better.

From the moment we arrived, Dave was incredibly welcoming, professional, and knowledgeable, setting the perfect tone for our round.

He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed before teeing off, providing helpful insights about the course and making us feel like VIPs. His enthusiasm and friendly demeanor made a lasting impression, and it’s clear he takes great pride in his role.

It’s rare to find someone who enhances the overall golf experience the way Dave does. His attention to detail, organization, and passion for the game make him a true asset to Starfire. If you’re playing here, you’re in great hands with Dave—his level of service is second to none!

Course was good. A little slow, but not terrible. 4:45 on a Saturday afternoon. Good price compared to other Scottsdale courses.

Way way way too slow pace of play. Clearly overbooked. Avoid the weekend… Least fun round of the winter.
