Great golf trip with friends
This was my group's first time playing golf in the Phoenix and we thoroughly enjoyed playing Starfire. We were pleased that it played 90 degrees this time of year. Course was beautiful with great view of the mountains especially on a coupe of the par 3s.

Course in great condition
Fairways & greens were in great condition. Only negative would be the sand traps which were hard compact sand and some had standing water.

Overpriced
The course is overpriced. The golf cart was difficult to steer and well used. Course conditions were average…sand traps hard pan or muddy, greens scared from past divots, sides to cart paths are in disrepair. A course that is in need of fine tuning given the green fees.

Great course! A little slow though
I’ve played here 8-9 times now and I’m glad to say the course is finally back open in full. Greens are in great condition as well as the fairways and rough.
My only complaint is that pace of play was a tad slow due to an older group of 5 in front of us. When we hit the back 9 it REALLY slowed down, as a group of kids cut in front of us who were slowed down by another group of kids in front of them.
All in all a great experience, although I wish there was a warden to keep the groups moving a bit. Will definitely be back, worth the afternoon price!

We take speed of play seriously and make sure our course marshals and starters are continually working with our golfers on their pace. It looks as though we missed an opportunity, and we will continue to improve.

Good could be great
Need more sprinkler head markers as many are missing or old and can’t read. Also, need a few divot refilling stations. Course could be in even better shape with more sand/seed for golfers to use.

Great condition and fun track with some scattered challenges. Highly recommend.

Nice course close to Scottsdale and Shea
Nice course. Don’t bother playing out of the traps, they are hard as rock with no actual sand in them. Greens were a bit slow but in good condition. Fairways were in great condition after overseeing
