Not a good day
Front 9 was in very bad shape. Back 9 was goog but I had to stay on the cart path only. I must have walked 4 miles! I never would have played there if they would have told be about the above before I booked the round.and showed up.
Overpriced for conditions
Way over priced for par 3 course. Condition of executive course was poor. Couldn’t even get tee into the ground on many of the tee boxes.

Please be assured that we are working very hard to ensure top conditions. The winter overseeding prep for the Mulligan 9 results in drier tees, fairways and roughs. I wish they would have indicated that the course was shut down for over-seeding. We have 100s of rounds here. We are regulars.

Overseed special
Played the short 9 front and the King front due to overseeding.
Cart path only so we got our steps in. Course Marshall Ed was friendly and helpful . Pace was good . Got out early to beat the heat.
The down side of the early round wet over seeding provided lots of muddy balls.
We had a hole in one in the group so made the round memorable.

Exec 9 played extremely slow.
Played exec 9 forst do to overseeding. Course way way overbooked and waited 20 minutes on 3 holes agt lease 5 minutes on all holes. Second 9 was much better. THANK YOU FOR ASKING.

With the great weather and being one of the only courses in the area open during overseeding we were the most popular place in town that weekend. However, we missed an opportunity, and we will continue to improve.

Lonegolfer
First 9 holes were on Par3 course so play was extremely slow. Back nine of King Course was great. Fairways were a little bare and muddy but they were due for over-seeding so understand why. Overall enjoyed my outing. Good course for the money.

Starfire is wort course in Scottsdale with terrible customer service. All they care about is CASH
My friends and I tried playing Starfire this morning, our tee time was 12:22 pm.
The 1st hole was backed up but the starter sent us anyway. It took us 40 minutes to get the third hole which was backed up with 8 carts, we called the club house asking for a refund and all they offered was a rain check.
I went back and talked with the starter, before collecting my rain check, the starter excuse was " somebody must have a loft problem. However he was still sending people out.
I collected my rain check and waited to talk with Travis Fish the manager of the course who was absolutely useless. He was condescending and full off excuses.
I explained to Travis that I own a bar on Scottsdale and Thunderbird and the bar has an max occupancy. I explained to Travis when we hit that number we turn people away because we don't want bad reviews such as the one I'm giving them. He could careless at this point I knew I was wasting my time said a few choice words and walked away.
Bottom line is all they are concerned about is cramming the course full of as many people as possible. They could care less about a reasonable rate of play.
I will be disputing the charge on my credit card Monday morning.
I just looked at the rain check receipt they depreciated the round by the two holes that I was able to play in 40 minutes. Now somebody please tell they care about customer

I completely understand your frustration with the backup and slow play yesterday afternoon. This is not an experience we ever want our guests to have. A normal day of tee times were booked and as you can imagine there were golfers of all abilities playing on this beautiful Saturday. Unfortunately, with a couple groups having a difficult time managing the course, a slowdown occurred which caused a chain reaction and play did backup. We were able to diffuse the situation and return play to its regular pace. However, we were aware that some did not want to wait and for those we did offer rainchecks. I would appreciate an opportunity to discuss this with you personally at your convenience. Please feel free to contact me.

Course still recovering from overseeding
Starfire GC was in OK shape, with overseeding treatment underway. Injected the executive course into the mix, resulting in a 62 par round. Early morning saw wet conditions, with no roll on fairways or green fronts. Tees were inconsistent (some needing some TLC). Rough was rough. Sand traps were a bit wet, but manageable. Greens rolled true, but slow. Around some cups, the lips were raised, not flat as they should be. Pace was good; walked as a single; got through (2) twosomes and finished in just under 3 hours. I did enjoy this early-morning round of golf.

Hole in one by a women in our group! Big deal for us and the group behind us.
Course Marshall Ed was great congratulations as was the fellow golfers.
Pro shop was not impressed???Ho hummm
Long par 3 with almost all water carry.

Great course. Lackluster amenities.
Course is great. Lots of water to play over and fun atmosphere for the most part. There were definitely some less experienced golfers holding up play with little to no Marshall oversight. No gps or coolers on carts. Some water coolers out on course. Not the best value if I’m honest.
