The course offered a good challenge
The course was both manageable and challenging.
Staff were great.
The serving staff in the afternoon could use a bit of coaching on being a bit nicer….
The server in the morning was great!
The Marshall was top notch!!
The staff that loaded and unloaded our clubs were great too!
We will be back.
Pace of play is atrocious, no ranger
Late afternoon tee times are miserable here. We went to the 1st tee box for a 4:14 Friday afternoon start to find two (2!) full foursomes waiting on the tee plus some kids who said they had a pass that allowed them to play any time after 4. Any time? Just wedge in to a full schedule without a tee time? Never once saw a ranger so really no surprise this course is perpetually backed up. Slow play isn't uncommon here but this was the worst experience yet. Tee times are 8 minutes apart vs a more standard 9 or 10 minutes.
Additionally, I've rarely encountered greens with more giant divots. Gotta call in the pothole patch road crew prior to attempting a putt.
Pace of Play
There was a five-some playing in front of us... As one of them stood on the back of the cart the first nine holes. I don't think the staff would have let him play if known. By the end of the third hole, the foursome in front of them were a complete hole ahead. We never saw a Marshal the entire 18 holes to notify him. The good news, after nine holes they stopped to use the facilities and we went around them and the womens foursome in front of us played normal pace of play no problems.

Starfire afternoon pricing reasonable and tee times are usually available as a solo player.

Pleasantly surprised
I had not played here in two years. Course was in good shape, Starter Dick was very friendly as was the golf shop girl. Only negative was I did not see a beverage cart lady but I played between 700-1030 am. I will return.

Starfire for value!
Very nice facility, tees and fairways are very good, greens need help but putt well enough to pass. Rough around the edges of the bunkers, cart paths and outer areas of the rough, but for a very good price, Starfire is an easy place to frequent!

Could’ve been difficult to navigate
The fairways were plush and rough was grass.Greens had more ball marks than it should have for this course.Coulid’ve been tough to navigate,as there was road construction going on.Lines cart lines and street crossing weren’t marked very well.Fortunately I played with someone who had played it before.Overall was a good course Staff was very friendly.
