About
When the architect Rees Jones created the golf course at the Legend Trail Golf Club, he created a golf course that brings out the Old West-style air of Scottsdale and a fun and testing golf course with greens made of bent grass. It's a premium golf course smack dab in the Sonora Desert.
The golf course at the Legend Trail Golf Club features broad fairways, diminutive bunkering and tees placed on islands, and has been called one of the Top 100 golf courses by Golf Magazine. The magazine also gives Legend Trail 4.5 stars out of five among its
Best Places to Play, and has one of the Top 100 Woman-Friendly Fairways, according to Golf For Women magazine. Panoramas include local sites like Pinnacle Peak, and a round at Legend Trail Golf Club gives all levels of golfer several different shot-making options.
Golf a late-afternoon round on Friday or Saturday, and head back to the Trail's End Grill from 4 to 6 p.m. for specials on drinks and appetizers.

Love Legend Trail
Excellent condition and we finished in 3.5 hours.......always a pleasute to play here!
1 single, 12 minutes, 1 round
Although the Club is sufficiently pretentious, I couldn't help but feel we were drove along like a bunch of cattle. Our 4th was unable to show up, so they put us with a single. Although the gentleman (the single) was very nice, his game was off. By hole number 9 we were 11 minutes off the pace. We were ordered to pick up our drives and March to the 10th hole. There goes that round.
Condition
You get what you pay for . Pricey, yes! Worth it? Yes again. Have played course on previous visits to ‘the valley’ and having played a few other tracks as well… best conditioned course around!!
Nice course, fairways were in good shape, greens were okay, maybe a bit slower than I expected. Great bunkers, but the starter said they replaced the sand recently. It's a tight course, not too much space off the fairway. One of us had to rent (thanks WestJet) and the rentals were pretty poor, bit of a hodge podge set. At $125 I really expected GPS on the cart, which it wasn't.
Good not great
Good layout except for a couple holes. No GPS in cart so some holes are a mystery off tee. Greens were bumpy. No towels in cart

Had high expectations for this course. It was even better than I imagined. Beautiful golf holes.
pace of play
Pace on front nine was great, pace on back nine was slow which lead to back up holes and groups hitting into other groups.
Beautiful course but long
Beautiful course! Very well maintained. The mid to long tees on some holes can be fairly challenging as there is long stretches on dessert washes with bushes and rocks and small trees before the fairway.
