About
When the architect Rees Jones created the golf course at the Legend Trail Golf Club, he created a golf course that brings out the Old West-style air of Scottsdale and a fun and testing golf course with greens made of bent grass. It's a premium golf course smack dab in the Sonora Desert.
The golf course at the Legend Trail Golf Club features broad fairways, diminutive bunkering and tees placed on islands, and has been called one of the Top 100 golf courses by Golf Magazine. The magazine also gives Legend Trail 4.5 stars out of five among its
Best Places to Play, and has one of the Top 100 Woman-Friendly Fairways, according to Golf For Women magazine. Panoramas include local sites like Pinnacle Peak, and a round at Legend Trail Golf Club gives all levels of golfer several different shot-making options.
Golf a late-afternoon round on Friday or Saturday, and head back to the Trail's End Grill from 4 to 6 p.m. for specials on drinks and appetizers.

Happen again.
Golfnow failed to inform golfer that greens recently punched and sanded. This also the case two weeks ago at Orange Tree golf course in Phoenix. Seems as if I need to call the course for conditions before I book my next round.
The greens were sanded the day before playing and the back nine was closed completely. I booked through GolfNow and there was no advisory or warning that this was going to be the conditions.
It was almost 110 degrees and no beverage person on the course. Would not have played here that day had I know the conditions were going to be like this.
Great conditions - hurry
I lucked into playing following the Arizona Women’s Golf Association tournament. Every green had been rolled, all ball marks fixed, divots filled and sand raked. What a pleasure! Hurry and play here, they will have to punch the greens soon.
Nice course and great staff. Sand was wet and it varied alot in depth. I will glady play course again.
Great course in wonderful condition...Greens are perfect. ..Only drawback is long drive from Phoenix proper...
Fun course
First time playing this course and it was fun. Course seemed to be in decent shape for the summer rounds. Greens were a little bumpy. Looong drive but it was worth it.
Interesting but tough
The course was in good condition, but if you haven’t played it before and aren’t lucky enough to be with someone who knows the course, it can be hard. Good news is that there are several options listed on the card to make things friendlier. Mixing the tees - some longer, some shorter.
The course is challenging and left me wanting to go back and play it again - and do better. You really have to manage your game to score, but the opportunities are there.
Staff is luke warm.
Played in 4.5 + hours even though we saw a marshall every other hole, but apparently the morning guy allowed things to get off to a slooow start which carried on throughout the day.
Slow play
My wife and I played the front nine in an hour and a half then it took use three hours to play the back. It was terrible.
Smoking deal
got there early & joined T who was also a Golf Now player. They let us t off early as a twosome as it was not busy. The course was in great shape & the groups in front of us were totally cool & let us play through. We completed the round in 3 hours. Great test of golf playing the copper/ silver combo.
Great Value
Went off early Sunday and played in under 4 hours as a 3 some. Course was in great condition, weather was great and pace of play was excellent
Really good course
Front nine flatter and easier than the challenging back nine. Course in very good shape and staff very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend a visit there.
Hidden Gem In North Scottsdale

I too thought Golfnow failed to inform about courses being punched and aerated. but upon further review I noticed a little upside down triangle with a red exclamation point inside the triangle...when clicked it specifically said that the course, Orange Tree, was punched the previous week...
