The pin placements on 2 and 17 were ridiculous. They are also stating to get an awful lot of ball marks on the greens making for some bump puts.

If you like to play desert golf with no adjacent holes this is your course. Great layout with a good mix of holes. We were the 2nd group off and played in 3 hours and 45 minutes. The only issue I had this time was that there was standing water on the greens on at least 6 occasions. They need to fix that situation . Nice pace to the greens. Tee boxes need some work as they are starting to get a little crowned on a few holes.

Legend Trail is a great course. Very fair, tee box options for advanced players and average players. Well worth the money. Can't wait to play again. Love it.

We have played Legends Trail many times and like it very much. Our most recent experience serves as a cautionary tale. They are putting groups out much too close together. We went out at 1:00. Under normal circumstances that would have been plenty of time to finish a round before dark. We knew that we were in trouble when on the second hole we watched the group ahead of us tee off. That continued throughout the round. The Marshall showed up about halfway through and said that it was slow the whole way...as though he had no control, only sympathy. We finally gave up at 5:15. We had only completed 15 holes. Courses that put groups out too close together may make more profits in the short run, but they cost themselves repeat business.

Although the course is quite nice and challenging, watching the foursome in front of you tee off on every hole as we waited to tee off ourselves was unacceptable. The Marshall, and I assume the management of the course were not only unapologetic, but said there was nothing they could do. I have never experienced this before and will not be back!

I was greeted by the clubhouse entrance and my bag whisked away and put on a power cart. Reception was friendly and check-in efficient and quick. I walked out to the power cart and drove over to the driving range where complimentary balls were set up. They are using mats for the time being which was fine with me although I prefer hitting off the grass. The practice area is well laid out and I had time to chip and putt before my round. I hooked up with 2 other gentlemen and they made the round interesting and fun. The course itself was in very good condition (overseeding was done in late Sept) and we were able to use the 90 degree rule for power cars. Greens were still a little slow from the overseeding but ran true. I was told after my round that the green speed will vastly improve over the next 2 weeks. One of the staff met me as I drove off the course and cleaned my clubs and offered to take the clubs to the front of the clubhouse. Well taken care of and an enjoyable round of golf.

Carts just allowed off paths after over-seeding. Course is beautiful. Fun and some challenging shots, but very fair.

Only complaint was that the greens were very slow. Not a big deal though after over-seeding.

Great track, great design from back tees. Challenging tee shots. Course usually in good shape, great views. Fun course to play.

Fair layout, good condition, less than 4 hours to play, and friendly staff. Great job with the overseed!

Very good layout surprised with the variations in elevation. Excellent greens but found them hard to read as a first timer. Definitely on the list for my next trip.

Course was really nice! Get the lunch special for $3. Can't beat $32 with lunch anywhere

It was my first time at legend trail. Didn't know what to expect. Course lay out was nice and some holes are very challenging even though it look easy. Some holes have elevated tee box. Beautiful views. Stumble on a great hot deal - was sure worth it.

Legend Trail is an excellent course in nice condition, despite the brutally hot summer so far. The pace of play was very slow today, probably due to the special $20 rate going on this summer.

I would rate this course above Estrella Mtn and Rancho Manana, both of which I've played recently.

Well worth the trip up here to far North Scottsdale!

As always kudos to Legend Trail,the clubhouse, cantina, cart girl, club and cart staff. This is a tough course but extremely fun to play. Holes 2, 4, 7, 11, 13-17. my favorites, almost the whole course. Great time even in high heat. Drink a lot of water.

Very nice course, even in July. Some bare spots on the fairway, but it's to be expected in 110 degree heat. Course was challenging. Had to play smart to stay out of trouble. A bad shot = a lost ball. No GPS system and few fairway distance markers which cost me a couple of strokes. No water at the first water jug, but was able to fill up at the driving range. Employee at the bag drop didn't load up my clubs on the cart, which was strange. Just left them next to the cart. Overall a good day of golf. Great price for a very nice course.

There were a handleful of 2somes out this day. The front we finished in 1 hour 40 min. The back took 2.5 hours. A 6some grouped together and slowed everyone down. We saw a ranger on the 2nd hole, and not the rest of the day. Would have been nice to have a ranger on the back 9 to regular this 6 some.

Third time playing this course and it was a lot of fun. Lots of different types of shots. Pace of play was excellent...went around in just over 3 hours. Will be back again.
