Course Highlights
Troon North consistently impresses with flawless greens, well-maintained fairways, and a challenging desert layout framed by stunning Arizona scenery. Attentive staff and strong overall value make this one of Phoenix's top public course experiences.

Rating 73.2

Pinnacle at Troon North represents a stunning, challenging golf experience blended into the high Desert's natural beauty with steep arroyos, natural washes and forests of saguaros and desert foliage. Portions of some fairways are hidden behind boulders and hills. Huge greens surrounded by large bunkers and sloping terrain challenge golfers on every approach shot.

A round of golf on the Pinnacle Course at the Troon North Golf Club kicks off on a par-4 hole that measures 392 yards from the Black tees. Things get crazy long on the 16th hole, a par 5 that plays to 609 yards from the Black tees. By that measure, the 18th hole will be a cakewalk, at par-4 and just 447 yards from the Black tee to the clubhouse.

After finishing the Pinnacle Course at Troon North Golf Club, head to the Grille, which offers a view of others trying to complete the course you've conquered, as well as the desert.

Bad Greens

Overall, great fairways, rough, and course layout. Staff was awesome. Greens we’re atrocious. The amount of damage from not fixing divots was the worst I’ve ever seen. Couldn’t get a putt to roll straight to save my life.

These courses usually play in good condition. Staff is usually friendly. The pricing on this course is a complete ridiculous as I can play Pebble Beach for the same price. The greens run fairly smooth but have a thousand ball marks as nobody fixes them on this course because it's a tourist course. I would become a member here if it was a private course and no public play.

Amazing experience

We played the Monument course. The condition was incredible - lush green grass everywhere except for where there was desert, bunkers, or cart paths. Each hole was well designed and challenging to play.

It was our first time in a true desert type course and I hope we get back to play it again.

Great course, but

The course.was in great condition and is quite scenic. But we were disappointed in a fee that was higher than the GolfNow price, a driving range that was NOT available (and for which we arrived early to use and warmup), a cart with a broken GPS, and slow pace of play. For the price, we expected a better experience.

The course was in very good shape. Pleasure to play, however the driving range was closed, supposedly due to an equipment problem. That was disappointing.

Poor green conditions/poor value for the $$

The staff was great, consistent with other high end courses. Course itself was a lot of fun & challenging to play on a windy day. We paid over $300/person, & at this price point the greens were horrendous. It looks like no one ever fixes a ball mark. I am a lower handicap, and if I had been playing a money game I would have had to fix multiple marks on most putts.

The fairways looked nice, but similar issue of people not replacing/fixing divots.

Unless you have money to burn, there are a lot of other options in Scottsdale in the $100’s & $200’s.

Bad Luck with Group in Front

It was Cart Path only which was fine and the pace of play was what was expected, until the last 2 holes. It looked like they had sent out a group of 12 (3 4-somes) in front and they decided to congregate on the 17th hole, and holding up all the groups behind them by about 20-30 minutes. We tried to contact the clubhouse via their carts like we were instructed to but no one came. It was also unfortunate they did not have a marshall.

The groups in front of us were extremely inconsiderate as we continuously saw fresh/new pitch marks on the greens that were not repaired and trash littered on multiple holes (snack bags, beer cans, ball sleeves, etc).

Wish they had a better system of controlling these people as it really ruined the experience.
