Talking Stick Golf Club - Piipaash Course

The staff from the time you drop your bags until they load you up when the round is over was nothing less than exceptional. During the round the guy (sorry I didn’t catch his name) routinely stopped by to make sure we always had water and ice. Visiting from Texas, we have heat, but yeah, this is different. Definitely would 100% recommend and will golf here again!

No real complaints but nothing special either. Staff was friendly carts were great course layout and conditions above average. Just nothing worth the price.

I brought a few friends from out of town to play the course. The pacer play was great. The grass was green and the greens were rolling pretty good for a summertime course condition. I would have to rated it pretty high still a little pricey for the summer though..

Course condition was good and the pace of play was decent for a Sunday afternoon-. Staff, especially starters were efficient and friendly. 1st time playing the course but certainly will be back.

I had a great experience here from check in to the range and the starter John. Played on a morning following an overnight storm that dumped a fair amount of rain. The course was still in great condition. Greens of course were slower but fair, standing water around the course from rain but it never affected my round. Course was not super busy so I played a round well under 4 hrs.

I went out to enjoy a leisure day of golf and my expectations were met. Very forgiving fairways and layout. If you want a more challenging track, other courses in the area may give more of an AZ desert layout with elevation change etc. But for what I wanted, it played perfect. I’ll play here again.

I was a big fan of the course conditions, layout, and views for the price. My only complaint is that the marshall placed us in the middle of two groups playing in a walking tournament. The marshall was not very friendly, and was rushing us to tee off despite the group in front of us being in the fairway still. We saw the marshall pass by us 5 times to ensure we were keeping pace through the first 9 holes, but we did not see him at all on the back 9. Overall, I really enjoyed the course and would play here again.

I struggle with an overall rating, but for me, i wouldnt choose to play here again. Lots of great features, used to a favorite venue of mine. However, these two issues were in my mind disqualifying.

GPS ad sound cannot be turned off. It can be turned down, but you are left with a perpetual buzzing and when things are quiet, meaningless jabber. Apparently the GPS provider wont let the course turn it off. Annoying, and show lack of concern for customers. We are golfers, not just targeted consumers to be monetized.

The bunkers. The dirt is hard packed, try hitting out of a deep greenside bunker to small fast greens. The greens complexes are this course’s primary defense, and now it is terribly flawed.

Sad to see these issues ruining the experience at otherwise stellar place. This is why i write this - in spirit of communication to management from an otherwise fan.
