Talking Stick Golf Club - Piipaash Course

Staff at check in did not explain where to access range for warmup. We ended up at a “player development” area where we were told to leave. Found the correct area, but felt embarrassed for our mistake. No pitching or chipping area that we could see.

Course was nice ,but nothing spectacular. Conditions were above average, layout was average.no real scenic value except green grass. Not worth the money. Lots of better courses to choose from.

I’ve played Talking Stick 2-3 times. My first time out happened to be when ASU Women’s golf was hosting a tourney in the morning which created the worst back up for the remainder of rounds in the afternoons. It happens.

But the other times out were equally as slow. Not sure why, just seems there’s no one on the course ushering groups through.

The course is in great shape. Beautiful area next to the Talking Stick resort. Very forgiving for the novice golfers with opportunities to score for the more skilled players.

You’ll have a great time with friends or randos.

Spend your money elsewhere. This course is very over rated. There are much better courses in the area better than this for much less dollars. This is average in layout and scenic value and difficulty..

Played here today. Greens were fast and fairways were in good shape. Only downside is the bunkers they are horrible. If they are looking to get $150+ for a round I would expect bunkers you can actually play from. Everything else was good though from pace of play, to fairways and greens.

The course is in great shape. Clubhouse is beautiful and driving range is great as well. Got paired with a couple regulars and they were great playing partners! I would def recommend and play again. Thanks Taking Stick

Just another day in our Arizona paradise. Apart from the imbeciles from Minneapolis making fools of themselves, as per the norm for winter visitors to Az, it was a perfect, pristine, Arizona winter day. And Talking Stick, just great. With 36 holes, a casino, all kinds of shopping down the street, this is one of the best golf experiences anywhere. The course is surprisingly wide and forgiving. Great winter grass conditions, and surprisingly interesting terrain and layout. They sculpted the course very nicely out of flat desert terrain. Decent vistas of the surrounding hills make it a super nice experience. Very popular practice range, although the chipping/putting area is woefully inadequate. I found the Pro Shop staff to be friendly and helpful, and while I can't say the starters are all that friendly, they are on top of things out on the range and first tee. Good treatment as a gollfnow player. Sent me off on "north" Oodham 18.

Conditions superb - greens pretty hard and difficult to hold a shot, but they were fairly quick and very honest. 10 footers were very makeable. Just a super nice round with 3 other local Az people.

Course is in great condition. Greens are quick and pure. Layout is terrific for a resort course as it allows even average golfers to play without looking for lost balls all day. This made for a 4 hour round even though the course was fully booked. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Absolutely would play any chance I could.

Generous fairways, large well maintained greens. Very friendly and efficient staff. Good practice facilities.

We were told by GolfNow we would be playing Piipaash, but Talking Stick moved us to O'Odham. There seems to be no way to be able to play Piipaash thru GolfNow.

Lush, wide fairways. Fair greens...not too fast, maybe 10 on the stimp. Perfect conditions for a resort course.

The course was fine, the staff friendly, the college tournament that we weren’t told about made the round real slow. It would have been nice to know they had a tournament when I made a T time. I would have paid the extremely high fees somewhere else maybe? I wasn’t given that choice.

First time playing. There are two courses, but had no idea of which one was available on Golfnow, until we booked and received the confirmation. O'odham was the course we played. The driving range was packed as were both golf courses. Not sure why, because the green fee is overpriced for the course. This is a $50 range course, not over $100. Overall decent conditions. Did play somewhat slow on the back 9. Will not be back because of the green fee rates. Maybe there are some deals for the casino guests, which would explain how busy the course was. Would not recommend the course, just because of the green fee rate. Too many choices of courses in the area for a lot less money.
