Talking Stick Golf Club - Piipaash Course

The course was in excellent shape, great mountain views, very friendly staff and good pace of play. I like the convenience of the driving range and practice putting green where it is located between the 2 courses. Generally, wide fairways with the challenge being bunkers around the greens.

Over 4 1/2 hour round and groups in front of us didn’t rake traps when they were done. For the first round of the year it was just fine.

Staff at check in did not explain where to access range for warmup. We ended up at a “player development” area where we were told to leave. Found the correct area, but felt embarrassed for our mistake. No pitching or chipping area that we could see.

Course was nice ,but nothing spectacular. Conditions were above average, layout was average.no real scenic value except green grass. Not worth the money. Lots of better courses to choose from.

I’ve played Talking Stick 2-3 times. My first time out happened to be when ASU Women’s golf was hosting a tourney in the morning which created the worst back up for the remainder of rounds in the afternoons. It happens.

But the other times out were equally as slow. Not sure why, just seems there’s no one on the course ushering groups through.

The course is in great shape. Beautiful area next to the Talking Stick resort. Very forgiving for the novice golfers with opportunities to score for the more skilled players.

You’ll have a great time with friends or randos.

Spend your money elsewhere. This course is very over rated. There are much better courses in the area better than this for much less dollars. This is average in layout and scenic value and difficulty..

Played here today. Greens were fast and fairways were in good shape. Only downside is the bunkers they are horrible. If they are looking to get $150+ for a round I would expect bunkers you can actually play from. Everything else was good though from pace of play, to fairways and greens.
