Hillcrest Golf Club at Sun City West

Bunkers are mostly unplayable, tee-boxes are crowned, tee-box grass needs mowing, pond/lake shorelines are trashy, way too many bare areas, no beverage cart, too much goose crap, etc. etc. etc.

Too many bare spots, sand traps were ok but some had weeds all over them. need to bring in sand not dirt, fairways had way too many bare spots. Greens were good, consistent. Blue tees looked like they were actually the old black tees as the black tees were gone. so kind of misleading. People very friendly, the cart guy is great,

The course is in great shape especially the fairways. The greens were in good shape but fast. Overall I had a great time here.

Golfed there for twenty years, best shape it's ever been. So happy, so surprised. We'll worth the money and trip.

My playing buddies wrote off this course and I insisted. It is now one of our destinations, I'm not the I told you so kind of person but inside I told them so.

Needs some updates.

Holes were not marked. We were u sure if we were on the correct hole. Ball washer handles were broken off.

Fairways were nice. Greens were nice but the hole placement was terrible. Several holes were right in the middle of a hill. Almost impossible to score.

All n all, fun value golf.

Like this course, looks nice, but fairway grass long needs mowing, tee boxes long grass like the some rough’s needs mowing and bunkers sand need to be churned up, when people are hitting the ball out of the bunker with there putter why even have bunkers.

One of the most difficult walking courses. I struggled balancing my fitness , hills and sore old feet! I did get a great walk/workout on the course and enjoyed the challenge!

Greens were rolling good. Great value was most courses are 100+. Highly recommend

A little sloppy from rain and watering for over seeding but still fun and challenging course/ great staff and good pace/ bunkers need attention/ should be good soon

Apparently this course has hosted LPGA and PGA Seniors events in the past and it is a great layout.

Looks like it has fallen in disrepair in the past but they are working to improve

For the price it is definitely worth playing

We chose a 1:45 pm tee time, but due to slow paced players along with no golf sheriffs/rangers we weren’t able to finish (which was fairly lame). The course is in absolutely incredible shape. The overseer went great.

Need to invest in cart paths to prevent course from getting beat up by golf carts, but great course; Loved it!!

The fairways were in great shape as were the greens. The lot of the tee boxes need some work to level them out and plant grass areas that have over used. The new ladies tee boxes are level and great shape.

Haven’t played here in two years. Thought I would try it again, due to the Golf Now Hot Deal. I was scheduled with three other players who when called, never came to the first tee. I started as a single, and ended the round as a fivesome, due to a very slow pace and long backup.

The main fairways and greens were in fairly good shape. The rough was really rough, lots of bare spots, and bunkers need some work. Very poor signage at the tees, and no cart paths to drive on and guide your way through the course. Staff was friendly and the course layout is good and challenging. But, overall the golf course needs some serious improvements. With the discount, I got what I paid for.
