Hillcrest Golf Club at Sun City West

Considering the time of year this course was in great shape, and the Staff was helpful and friendly. Definitely will play again and would recommend this course, you won’t be disappointed

Fairways had a lot of bare spots and some of the sand traps needed upkeep but greens in great shape

Course condition was horrible!! No water on the golf course to drink for the golfers!! 110 degrees, dried up old winter grass and wet to try and retrieve?! Came out earlier than original tee time, was charged an extra $12, okay assuming course was in average shape and of course assuming there's water to drink every other 4 hikes or so like always!! What a joke!!!! Paid $32 should have got on for $10, fact Golfnow had a tee time available for $12 , yet who waits to the last minute huh?! Been playing there 34 years , won't ever go back!!!

I have always loved playing Hillcrest. It is challenging and fun. However, it has fallen into disrepair in some ways and needs some TLC to be the amazing course it used to be. It is still a pretty good value for the money.

The only good thing was the pace of play. That was good because many people have concluded that there are way better places to play!

Course is in bad shape...everything is bad. The fairways are a mix and patch combination of grasses, no grass, mud etc. Bunker have lousy sand.,

The only good part were the greens. They were in generally good shape.,

Cart paths are non-existent and just disappear via mud and gravel and then grass.

No really on course amenities.

Worker on the course park trucks right in the way and make no effort to move.

Spot watering is being done via hoses and manual sprinklers.

I will play elsewhere in the future!.

I was greatly surprised on the conditions of this course. This course once hosted an LPGA tournament sadly the LPGA would never use this course in this condition

Everything was bad about this place!

The place is torn up! The grass is bad with lots of patches of different grasses, muddy spots and barren spots with no grass...mud or gravel. Lots of spot watering with hoses and sprinklers!

The sand traps were more mud than sand! Really bad!

The greens are messy and uneven...and yet the best part of the course.

Maintenance guys have trucks parked in the way on the course. They were talkative and friendly, but no effort to get out of the way.

I will never come back and will encourage others to go anywhere else!

First few holes are fairly boring but this course turned out to be quite fun and neat! It isn’t no country club and not much to offer but the actual golf is much worth the money. If you’re a low handicap you score low. Was windy and hot when we played so had course to ourselves. I would play here again and again.

I went out to recon the course before taking my nephew. It is a well laid out course. It is challenging but not to the point that it becomes frustrating or discouraging to a new player. It was a slow day so I was able to enjoy my round while assessing its playability for my nephew. We will be playing the course later this week and I am looking forward to playing there again.
