About
Hillcrest Golf Club possesses a championship length course that offers a great variety of game options with five sets of tees. The course has a traditional design that features open fairways lined with trees, which put a premium on straight shots. The greens vary greatly with some that are relatively flat and medium sized and others that are quite large and dramatically sloped or multi-tiered. In addition to several sand bunkers, water hazards in the forms of lakes and ponds come into play. The signature hole is the par-5 13th, which has been touted by the Phoenix Gazette as being on of the best holes in the state. Hillcrest Golf Club not only has a dogleg around a lake, the hole requires an approach shot uphill to a green that is guarded by eight bunkers.

Hillcrest Round
The course was in good shape and it was a good round, The pace of play was great and it was not very busy. Definitely will play this course again.
Great place to play but crazy pin placement
One of my favorite places to play. Forgiving fairways and good size greens. No houses to worry about. The pins placements were crazy. Made a good round bad. But all and all a great course.
Good Course , Good Value
I have played at this course a couple times the last couple months, I like the layout, conditions of the greens and fairways are good. Both times tee times have been at sunrise so pace of play is great. I have no complaints for my recent visits, i like this course
Good course
Greens were in good shape and some great challenging holes. Would play again.
Patience
Took 5 hrs on a course that is wide open and no force carry, yet it took forever. Turns out a wedding party had book tee times prior to ours and had no clue to play ready golf. They even stopped to eat which delay everyone. There was also no ranger because there was only 150 players that day.
Decent course for the price
We enjoy playing this course. No frills, but the price is right.

Wouldn't play here again
Owner of this course could put more money into it. the tee boxes were not level, most the ball washers were broken, the signs at the tee boxes telling you the hole you are playing were broken. what cart paths there were were dirt and had chuck holes so you had to drive around them and most were washed out by the watering of the course.
Going Downhill
I have played this course numerous times over the last several years. The course conditions are going downhill and the green fees have gone up. I like the layout. The greens and fairways are ok but there is essentially no rough only bare dirt. The traps have no sand only hard packed dirt. Course is very dry except for several areas of mud puddles.
