Coyote Lakes Golf Club

About
Located in the west valley, the golf course at Coyote Lakes Golf Club combines a desert landscape and traditional design with scenic views of the White Tank and Bradshaw Mountains. Although it is modest in length and suitable for all players, the course is still an enjoyable challenge for even advanced golfers. The front nine is more difficult than the back nine with large greens and several contours. The back nine is also challenging though with several notable holes. The fairways are undulating on both and water hazards come into play on several holes. Coyote Lakes Golf Club's signature hole is the 14th, a par-3 hole that requires a shot from an elevated tee to a green that is well protected by two sand bunkers and a lake to the left.

Nice Sunset Shot Photo submitted by shortyofak on 03/19/2014
Pace of a turtle
It took 1:25 to play 3 holes. There were 5 groups in the 4th tee.
Nice Course
The day I played with a friend was unusually slow—2 1/2 hours to play the front 9 and 3 hours the back 9. Not very enjoyable. No Ranger to speed up play. Usually, the pace of play is good.
Slow afternoon with great golf
No tea no shade - if you aren’t on the course before noon, it’s a snail’s pace. Loves the staff and overall course conditions. Super windy, which resulted in the ball flying muuuuuch farther than expected. Fairways narrow and it was a good challenge overall.
Coyote Lakes
This is the 3rd time my wife and I have played Coyote Lakes. Quite simply, we love playing here! My wife and I are both mid handicappers and really enjoy the layout of Coyote Lakes. We played Feb 2025 and course was in good shape. The greens were just a wee bit slow but very true. The layout is not easy for our level but it is no unfair. The staff is very friendly and the price of the round ($85 each with cart) If you are looking for a TPC experience, this is not it. If you are a mid handicapper who enjoys some challenge when playing, head to Coyote Lakes!!
Great course. Not exceptionally long, so played back tees. Layout, hazards, and greens were all challenging. Shot makers course if you are aggressive.
Great course, great staff, very slow pace of play.
Slowest pace of play I have ever experienced in 5 years golfing in AZ. Waited 5 to 10 minutes on every t box, sometimes longer. No starter. Overall still had fun, great greens, great people, you just have to be patient when you play this course.
Good yet challenging course
First time we played the course. High to mid handicappers may find this course a bit challenging to some extent because if you can't drive fairly straight your in a backyard. Not a grip it and rip course, more precision needed. I'd play again in the future but it was really busy, so plan on having a 4.5 to 5 hour round most days of the week.
Good course for the money
Course is in good condition. Pace of play is good. Wish beverage cart would service the back nine. Saw the cart on hole 2 and that was it. That happened both times we played.
Decent value
The best part of the course are the greens. They roll well and have challenging undulation. The course has some so so holes. Narrow fairways and so do excessive dryness the ball roles too much and can lead to bad lies, hard ground, water, desert. But about 12 of the holes are well designed and can be played multiple ways.
Overall, the price and value are comparable especially for high season.
The staff friendliness was amazing.
Needs a facelift
So the layout is great.....pace of play was almost 5 hours-behind the women's league.....half the holes have no ball washers-just an empty green pole where they used to be..plus many tee boxes are crowned and uneven....this could be a great course if they invested in it but apparently the new owner is just letting it die a slow death....it is worth about $50 tops so if u pay the going $100 plus rate u are getting ripped off.....
