Coyote Lakes Golf Club

About
Located in the west valley, the golf course at Coyote Lakes Golf Club combines a desert landscape and traditional design with scenic views of the White Tank and Bradshaw Mountains. Although it is modest in length and suitable for all players, the course is still an enjoyable challenge for even advanced golfers. The front nine is more difficult than the back nine with large greens and several contours. The back nine is also challenging though with several notable holes. The fairways are undulating on both and water hazards come into play on several holes. Coyote Lakes Golf Club's signature hole is the 14th, a par-3 hole that requires a shot from an elevated tee to a green that is well protected by two sand bunkers and a lake to the left.

Pleasant place to play
I have played this course on numerous occasions. I have for the most part had a wonderful experience. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The course was in good shape when I played.
Overbooked
I realize it was the WM tournament weekend but the course was 30 minutes behind pace and we did not finish due to darkness. No offer or discount of any sort. It’s not the first time the course has been over booked and behind
Overpriced for conditions
While the course had some scenic holes it’s overall underwhelming from that perspective. The fairways are mottled and with plenty of bare patches making for bumpy lies. Greens were fine. Tee boxes were poorly maintained. Pace of play was slow. We waited on every hole from 1-18. Ranger did little to speed up play although he seemed to be around a lot. Not worth the fees.
Coyote Lakes
Beautiful course. Challenging enough but enjoyed playing here. Would not hesitate to come back.
Hole 14
Love the course. Entire staff is excellent! From check-in, on course, to the bartender who served our beverages after the round as I celebrated my 2nd hole in 1!
Always play here when I visit
My favorite course to play for the money. Great staff, challenging but fun.
Fun course
It’s a very challenging course. Water, desert, ob I mean tough. But fun and great crew.
The course was in good shape, the pace of play was good. The staff were great.
Desert course with challenge
Play was very slow. It was a five hour round which takes away from the enjoyment. They need to allow a bit more time between tee off on the first hole.
Saw live coyote run past us on back nine!
Like the course. Playable yet challenging if you wonder off the fairways.
Disappointing
A 4 hour 50 minute round, thanks to "typical AZ slow play". And, the fairways were ratty and in many areas painted green.
Slow at the Coyote
Got off 45 minutes after tee time. And it was slow. Paired up with another twosome. They were delightful, and we had lots of time to visit with them. Don’t know where the hold up was but it was dreadfully slow. Staff was great at desk and returning but did not see a marshal the whole time.
Golfer 8 handicap index GHIN
If course superintendent would growsgrass around fringe of greens and fairways, this course could get more for green fees. Lots of bare ground and dead grass in fairways and around greens, Otherwise, course has interesting undulating fairways and greens.
do not allow the total yardage numbers deceive you. the objects(homes) in the mirror are closer than they appear! the fairways are tight with changes in elevations. the visuals will alter shots not necessarily confidence instilling. if you can overcome the psychological obstacles(errant shot) you will be just fine. a few of the greens will change your approach. it seems consistently well run keeping the pace of play under 4:30. fairways and tee boxes are a little hacked up, but the greens are fairly stellar running consistently around 8-10 true. it's not the raven or grayhawk but it's not priced as such. nice middle of the range course we've golfed multiple times
Slow play
They have 7 min tee times so things stack up. We were 30 min late to tee off because of the 7 minute. No marshals on the course and the group in front of us was very slow.
