Arizona Traditions Golf Club
About
Arizona Traditions Golf Club offers a parkland style golf course that has panoramic views of the White Tank Mountains. An enhancement project for the course in 1998 put in an abundance of trees, shrubs, and flowers on the course. Although it has a short layout, the golf course is quite challenging with difficult sloped greens and rolling fairways lined with forestry. Rolling hills, extensive greenside and fairway mounding, and water hazards provide an interesting game. Five sets of tee boxes ensure that golfers of all skill levels can enjoy the course. Arizona Traditions Golf Club also has a driving range, chipping area, and putting green for golfers to use.

Golfer Reviews
Old timers course
We went there late morning (after 10 tee time). I didn't know there was a tournament earlier in the day that we were following. I'm not sure how big it was, but several of the holes, tee box and greens are kind of clustered and can get crowded, especially if you usually shank your shots. If you like to play on the other Fairways other than the one you're on, strap in your seat belt because they got hills for days. That wasn't so much a problem for me, more so for the guy i played with. There were also balls everywhere, as if no one knew where their ball went. I'm 100% sure the confusion from the tourney ahead of us took several of my balls. While I would wait for my playing partner to catch up to my hits, I would see carts driving in the exact area where i hit my ball, yet when I would get to where I saw my ball landed and know for a fact that's where it landed, it was gone. Hmm. It's ok, I recovered more balls then "got lost". The carts are old and outdated. The tee boxes was 50% dirt. Bunkers were hard like rock. Fairways quite bouncy. Greens were weird. It's like the lip around the hole had slight ramp to it. I'd be right at target, and last second would break. I didn't get that. Some holes I was shooting blind. I had no idea which way the hole went. Dog left is more like 90 left. That's just my experience here. It was reasonably priced and close so I can't complain. I'm not complaining, just sharing my experience. Maybe they're about to seed or something when all the snow birds come back. I'd play here again, but it's not worth over $50 to play. I'd pay $50 max until conditions and carts get better. For $20 more i can go to a better maintained course with GPS carts. Again, this is in retirement community. The staff and people were nice.
Decent condition
With the heat, the course was in decent conditions, some damage on some greens and tee boxes, but not terrible considering recent heat.
Course in maintenance
Course is fun to play. This day it was under maintenance getting ready for oversead. Great value and the new maintenance crew has been taking great care of the course. Best it has been in years, you may want to wait till mid October when the course maintenance is complete.
Tradition
Enjoyed the course. For our first time, it was not difficult to get from hole to hole. Pace of play in my opinion was slightly fast. We finished in 4 hours which is good but with a threesom after us ( we had 4) they seemed to be on our heels. They actually hit into us a couple of times. Some of the greens were not great but overall I liked the course and will be looking forward to future rounds. The staff was great efficient and helpful
Traditions review
I used to play this course all the time as I live nearby and it was always fairly priced. Now it is always expensive, it’s horrendous conditions (grass not cut, greens infected/dead,etc), and the staff is downright rude. For example I had a cart die on me at the start of the back 9 and had to google their phone number and try calling several times before they said they would send someone out. Even at that it took almost a half out of Arizona summer waiting before they came and made it seem like I inconvenienced them. This has been their standard the last 2-3 times I have played here and I’m done. I will no longer be playing here and I advise others to do the same. You can find half a dozen courses in the same or better conditions in a 5 mile radius for still reasonable pricing. Go there as this joke of a course is no longer worth it.
Traditions
Slow play caused by heavy rough ,lookingfor balls all day, also a high school event. Almost all of there players not golf savvy. Slllooww play
Traditions
Other than the price, the golf course was not in good shape, the rough was way too high .Spent too much time looking for golf ball.Yhe greens were subpar at best. Then they had a high school event there and 90% of them did not know much about golf . This made for a very lo0ng day.
It’s the people who make the course
The course is great. The cart guys are great. The workers inside the clubhouse are disrespectful, out of line with their requests (borderline illegal), and the amenities are non existent.
Thank you for your feedback! Please contact our manager at 623-584-4000 when time permits.
We apologize for your recent experience with our clubhouse staff and the amenities. We would like to look further into this. Please give us a call at the pro shop so we can further assist.
Nice Course
