About
Cimarron Golf Club combines challenging golf with excellent landscaping and scenic views of surrounding mountain ranges. Although the course has many difficult elements, with four sets of tees it can easily accommodate different skill levels and abilities. The design of the golf course features numerous strategically placed bunkers and also desert waste areas. Water hazards come into play on a few holes as well. Functional yet attractive landscaping complements the course. Cimarron Golf Club, in addition to the golf course, has many practice facilities including a driving range, putting green, and short game area with a bunker.

Sand traps
The course is in great shape! The only drawback to it is there sand traps, which I know I should stay out of but got into 4 of them and they all need to have sand put in them!! The guy who maintains them also agreed with me!
Excellent
Exceptional summer conditions. Lush green from 1st to 18th.
Very friendly and helpful staff inside and out.
Extra service points for on course, hand delivered ice cold towels, throughout the round.
Well done !
Outstanding
The course was in excellent shape for summer. Most of the fairways are soft and fluffy which stops the ball, but I much prefer that to hard and burnt out as so many AZ courses can get in the summer. The greens were in good shape. Some had subtle breaks that were hard to read which made it challenging, but overall in very good condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lady and young man in the pro shop were great. No issues checking in. They were kind and courteous. I was approached by a different ranger on both the front and back 9 offering cold wet mango scented towels to cool off with. Both rangers were very friendly and concerned for my well being since it was so hot out. I had an absolutely great experience playing on this course. I will be back.
Beautiful and challenging course
First time playing there, but will definitely play again. Challenging but fun course. Course was in great condition for this time of year(July). Friendly, helpful staff.
Superb course
I used golf now to reserve the tee time. Staff was very friendly and courteous. All amenities were excellent and course was in great condition.
Course in great shape
Course was in fantastic shape. 3 hours and 10 minutes for the round. Ice cold mango scented towels are fantastic. Great way to spend a day of gold.
hcp 4
Green and tees and fairways good. The rough has various types of weeds and grass growth. Sand buckers are more like dirt bunkers that is hard packed soil.
Why?
The course has several phenomenal holes. Great layout! However...
For a "membership" course the greens were way under par. Don't think anyone playing, nor the greens keeper, knows what a divot tool is for. So many putts missed from bumping across the greens. Greens appear to have fungus too.
Marahall came to our group 11 holes into the round and said, "you are 9 minutes ahead of schedule but we need tou to pick up the pace. The group in front of you is almost w holes ahead." So the 2-some is. front of us was out running a 4-some... who knew?!?! Plus, the group behind us were almost 2 holes back. Know when to speed up the game marshall.
Surprisingly good
Hadn’t heard of the corse or community. But it was very enjoyable.
Socially inept
Checking in was weird. The two knuckle heads ringing us up seemed upset for the rate we were paying and took longer than normal to complete the transaction. The experience felt super weird and unwelcoming. I won't go back because of the two weirdos working behind the cash register. I believe that's what they are hoping for just by how awkward the made the check-in process.
The course ranger on the other hand was awesome!
Nice Course
There are a lot of nice courses in the area but this one should be on your list. Wide fairways make it nice off the tee. It’s defense is well place bunkers and undulating greens. My only knock was there was not water or beverage service available on the course.
Fast greens
Greens really quick. Pins were in very difficult positions. Lots of putts.
Glad I played Cimmaron
Everything was very good! Of course, like most courses in the valley, the prices have gotten steep. However, this one was worth a few more bucks for the condition it was in. I will definitely play there again if given the chance.
Great course
Greens are running great. A few are a little tricky. Pretty fast pace in the early mornings anyway. Overall good shape. Will play again. It still beat me up a little
Wow! After leaving a glowing review Cimarron said I was a no show and are trying to double bill me for the round. Unbelievable.
