Situated between the Catalina and Rincon Mountains, Forty Niner Country Club runs alongside a wooded riverbed. The golf course features fairways lined with mesquites, giant cottonwoods, eucalyptus trees, and weeping willows. Desert shrubbery also lines the fairways. The course has a traditional layout that sprawls across gently rolling terrain. It's a nice walkable golf course but it's not easy. Rather than distance, this course requires accurate shot placement and careful strategy in order to maneuver the tricky doglegs and subtly elevated greens. The most difficult hole on the course comes early on. The par-4 fifth is an only seemingly narrow hole but the double-tiered green has a dramatic slope right in the center. Forty Niner Country Club finishes with a par 3 that requires a carry over water. If played smartly, it offers a great birdie opportunity.

Howdy cowboys
For the money, this course is a great bargain. Courses in great shape and the pace of play was fantastic.
Great time
Love this course and the staff is always very professional and friendly.
Poor Conditions
Tee boxes,fairways and greens all in poor condition. Have played 7 local courses in recent days and this by far was the worst. The round took 4hr 45 minutes we waited on every tee box. Tried the club house for a light dinner after the round and the food was inedible. We will not be returning.
Home field
Though I didn’t play well, the course and the staff are awesome.
Very impressed overall
Very nice course, holes were not very difficult, pretty straight fairways. Very forgiving course. Greens were SLOW
Getting good
Starting to look great after the seed. Again got paired up with some real great guys to play. Had a wonderful day even thou I didn’t player very well.
Great course
Was cart path only but still a good round. Fairways are not supper wide so not far to walk. Greens in good shape. From an avg golfer.
