Average
Pretty simple course, good for new golfers. Unfortunately the greens had been over seeded and were fuzzy and slow. The cart paths are pretty bumpy and need work.
Course is preparing fr overseed and you cannot find a blade of green grass anywhere, fairways, tee boxes or greens. It's unplayable at the moment.
Horrible Conditions
Crooked Tree will close in 6 a week or so for overseeding and currently the course is completely unplayable. It looks like the last time it was watered was months ago. Totally horrible conditions, save your time and money and play someplace else until after the overseeding.
Even though overseed is not too far out on their schedule, fairways and greens in good condition.
Could be great
The course had some blemishes. Brown dead spots in fairways, and the fringe around greens left a lot to be desired. Good for just an average course in Tucson. There were no holes that legft an impression or that u remember playing. I love courses that leave an impression on you. It was fun though
Summer conditions
The course is not in the best shape at the moment. Lots of grass clippings, some rugged cart pathways and slow greens. I've played here in the winter and found it to be in much better condition. Still enjoyed the round. Very friendly staff.
Excellent Public Course
Very good practice facility. Lots of chipping areas available to practice multiple lies and shot lengths. Course was a bit rough due to the annual "monsoons," but the greens were fair and consistent. The pinsetter must have had a bad weekend as some of the holes were cut in odd places, a couple very close to the green's edge. We played as a twosome starting mid morning and finished in less than three hours. Great pace of play! The staff, especially Brian, were helpful with course info, and ensured we were happy with our first experience with Crooked Tree. This is not a resort or high-end membership course, but if you're interested in a fair test of golf, give it a try.
Crooked Tree
Good course. Beautiful green lawn all over and less dirt on the course.
Ver pkayab
Very playable course for all skill levels. Course was in great condition and greens rolled nice!! Best value for your money at $30 a round with a cart!!!
Fun day
Very open course. Great for mid level golfers. Played at noon and the greens were good but hard. Topical afternoon golf in Arizona.
Solid value - needs beverage cart
The course is an overall solid value. Course is usually in great shape-well kept greens and clean fairways, but the bunkers are often overly rocky, as well as the area toward the rough. Beverage cart has been absent as of late, not sure if they stopped doing it entirely or if I've just missed it the last several times I've played. Clubhouse bar may or may not be open depending on the day as well. Sometimes open till dusk other times closed before 3??? No beverage cart or no clubhouse service can make for a long back nine...
Greens are class
Longer course with tiny greens, but very fair. Greens were in excellent shape as usual. Fairways are generous and in good shape. Only complaint is the bunkers are rocky and inconsistent.
One of our 4 some's favorite courses!
The only problem was there was not a refreshment cart out.
The course was very good & we can wear jeans. We all enjoyed the outing.
Fairways and greens were in very good condition but if you missed the fairways it gets pretty rugged fast.
