About

Holes 18
Type Resort
Par 73
Length 6951 yards
Slope 141
Rating 73.7

The Club at Starr Pass offers 27 holes of championship golf that have been host to legends such as Arnold Palmer and Phil Mickelson. The holes are divided into three nines that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. One of these combinations is Coyote/Roadrunner. Coyote is the club's signature course and while the Roadrunner nine might be the shortest, it has plenty of elevation changes. Both golf courses are carved from the scenic Tucson Mountains, providing golfers with a diverse landscape that is abundant with jackrabbits, quail, and deer. In addition to the three nines, there is also a double-loaded driving range and a practice area with putting and chipping greens.

Good Tucson course

Among the best courses in Tucson. The "walking nine" is my favorite although the championship 18 ( with cart) is stellar...

Afternoon Round at Starr Pass

Two of decided to make a last minute drive from Cave Creek to Tucson for a round of golf. The only other time I played Starr Pass we got rained out. I was looking forward to experiencing it again, and I was not disappointed. The course is extremely challenging, the layout is beautiful, and it was very fast play.

Try the BBQ, just saying.

I never played this course and it be in bad shape. Greens are tricky until you learn the secret to putt on them. I can't give you a fair review on the traps. Got lucky and missed them all. Fairways are great! If you get a chance.....don't miss the opportunity.

Best condition I’ve seen

When a course doesn’t get much play (due to its excessive pricing) it recovers nicely. With the exception of several traps that are spray-painted with a thin layer of sand over a concrete base, the rest of the course is in great shape. Gotta find a “deal time” for it to be worth the price in my opinion. Still love this “toughest track in Tucson.” Wish they’d honor their PGA legacy and get the Coyote nine back in play more often for a “Classic 18.”

Course in pretty good shape

Tee boxes, fairways, & greens all in good shape. Bunkers could use more sand, but otherwise great golf course.

Lousy communication by staff

We asked your staff if the restaurant was open? They all said yes! When we tried to get food after golf. We were told by individual at the restaurant entrance that they were closed for a private lunch!!! Your staff was not up to speed what was really happening. Very disappointing to the foursome from Seattle. May not return because of it.

Rude staff and members

We mistakenly went to the wrong first tee (3 nines). Rather than handing himself like a mature adult, the starter asked us if we could read and was incredibly rude. Then we were stuck behind a 5some of members from the second hole throughout the rest of our round. It was incredibly frustrating as a twosome to wait every shot while there were several holes open in front of them. Seems like they were all in cahoots actually. I asked my husband if we were being punked or something! Unbelievably poor golf etiquette and course management. We will not be back. But, the golf course is immaculate!
