Los Caballeros Golf Club
About
Rancho de Los Caballeros offers everything from horseback rides through the desert to hot stone massages at the spa. This historic dude ranch is also known as one of the state's most popular golfing destinations. Golf Digest ranked the Rancho de Los Caballeros golf course in the top five in Arizona and nationally, it's ranked in the top 100. The layout sprawls across rolling terrain and incorporates two large lakes into the design. The course climbs up 2,100 feet at its highest point providing stunning views of Vulture Peak to the south and the Bradshaw Mountains to the north. The par-4 13th is the signature hole. It features several changes in elevation and a small, undulating green that is also heavily guarded by bunkers. In addition to the course, the golf club at Rancho de Los Caballeros also has multiple driving ranges, practice putting greens, and there's also a short-game practice area.

Fun course
This is a great little course. It runs thru the desert and while there are some houses you will never see them. Fairways are a little tight and there are some nice elevation changes. It was in good shape for a hot end of May day. Water on a some holes too! A fun track to play. Not much in they way of amenities. Restaurant only open lunch tine and only a few snack in the pro shop. Don't overlook this course
Beautiful, scenic course. Many fairways had lots of burnout and were cut way too short. Also, many of the greens were extremely difficult to putt due to poana grass taking over. Some were 90% poana!
Coke machine just outside the restaurant area did not work. No refreshment service offered on the course.
Get past the pro shop and it's a beautiful round.
I have played this course multiple times and this was my first negative experience. Arrived and went to warm up and there were no range balls stacked although there were range balls down range scattered about range balls have always been complimentary. Asked pro shop guys about this and was told " it's summer we don't do range balls in the summer no one does." I advised them this was the first I have ever heard of this and was told " we have never done range balls in the summer." I didn't even bring up the fact that last summer I played here and they had range balls or that there were currently range balls down range just walked out to stretch out. It was still half an hour till my tee time and they called myself and another single to the 1st tee. Not expecting this I walked into the clubhouse to use the facilities and as I was walking past the pro shop they again called me for the first tee, seriously it was thirty seconds ago and there was myself and one other person out by the range I get it for some reason your in a rush, why???? Once I got off the first tee though the course is beautiful and well maintained and I had it pretty much to myself the whole round. The attitude and behavior of the pro shop is disappointing as this course is beautiful and well worth the drive and money I will say however this was the only time I was treated this way so maybe it was just a bad day for the shop guys.
A great desert course.
Have played this course many times over the years. In the best shape ever. The staff was wonderful. Where else do you get home made cookies delivered to your lunch table?
Great Desert Course
Fun course to play, great views of desert and surrounding mountains. Shot selection is important on a few holes, and some course knowledge helps. Most fairways are wide and forgiving, but a few have trees in the landing areas. Only negative - the greens were very slow. I had difficulty hitting putts hard enough and it cost several strokes.
A must play
I haven't played on to many desert courses , this one was out standing , start to finish one of the best courses I have played on . I loved everything about the place and would recommend it highly. Pace of play was extremely fast, staff and amenities were great as well . put this one on your play list.
Top value
A bit of a drive to get there from Phoenix but a beautiful and enjoyable round. Course was in excellent condition with some greens showing poanna effects. Compared to its more pricey neighbor a great deal for the money.
Very good golf course with excellent staff in the clubhouse
My wife and I played Los Caballeros today and had another enjoyable time. We've been fortunate to play this course several times a year. Today I used golfnow to sign up for our tee time. Unbeknownst to me I had mistakenly signed up for a different course. The pro at Los Caballeros (Ryan) was great about the whole situation. He called the other course and explained to them my mistake and then was able to get us off the tee at Los Caballeros. We really appreciated the way Ryan handled all of this and we had another wonderful day on the Los Caballeros golf course. Thanks to Ryan and all the staff at Los Caballeros, we really enjoy playing your course and highly recommend it.
Peterson Group
We have a group of 40+ golfers and everyone loves your course. The staff is friendly make feel special, diving range is super with free balls, free coffee and lunch included in fee is amazing! What is not to love about Los Caballeros!
Challenging golf course
Had a great day here. Fun golf, lots of up and down. Greens are tiered and tricky. Staff was friendly and on it.
Fast greens, nice course layout
Always love coming out to Wickenburg to play here. Greens run fast. Some nice elevation changes. I shot quite a few blind shots. But a great round regardless. Love the views. I'll be back
Great location - even better staff
We had an awesome time playing this scenic and challenging course. Nice members letting us play through, so we could finish our round in less than 3 hours. Staff at the pro shop and the restaurant were amazing and very helpful.
I really enjoy this course. The vistas are great and the layout is challenging and has a lot of character.i don't score very well at this course but I don't think it's unreasonably difficult.
Good but Could Have Been Better
Our foursome visited Phoenix and played four rounds at various courses, this one being the last. Overall I'd rank this course highly as it's a solid design and in great condition. The rate was fair also but it appears they accomplish that by limiting service. This was the only course that didn't offer even a simple breakfast, no starter and a major lack of signage which can be a problem for first timers like us. Also forget about enjoying a post round cigar even if you're willing to sit in the next county to avoid offending anyone. This is a nice course so I may come back for the golf. With some small changes it would be high on my list but not now.
I hate getting canned responses. I'd rather get nothing.
