About
Perched in the hills above Santa Cruz, DeLaveaga Golf Course & Lodge features plenty of elevation changes as well as tight, tree-lined fairways making this short layout anything but a cinch. The result of the tight layout, however, often translates into long rounds as higher handicappers look for their golf balls in the woods. Designed by Bert Stamps, the golf course opened in 1970. Conditioning is average, but DeLaveaga Golf Course & Lodge's green fees are a small fraction of its more famous neighbors.

Golfer Reviews
Same old Dela
It was a beautiful day.. I joined the other two gentlemen who are good players. The fairways and greens are good. But tee boxes are in bad shape.. I have played here many times. It seems they do have problems maintaining tee boxes. Don’t know why. Recommend and will play again.
De la viega
Great public course. A lot of narrow fairways. Side hill lies. Expensive for a public course.
Horrible condition
Have played this course over 30 times. Tees are in horrible shape, fairways are combination of dirt and weeds, sand traps are basically dirt! Combined with being way overpriced. Will never go back!!
Wouldn’t play again
Too many blind shots. Fairways were I very dry and in rough shap
Track is in good shape, but what’s with the bunkers?
Had a nice round with a coupe of friends, got the hot deal of the day on golf now for 44 bucks. I’m glad we got the discount because the bunkers were mostly ridiculous. Hard clay? Dirt? No drainage? We live in Santa Cruz, by the beach, I know where to find some sand guys. Jeez
Santa Cruz Golf Day
Was my first time playing golf in the Santa Cruz area, could not ask for better weather sunny day slight breeze, course and greens were in great shape. Course is very manageable as long as you stay in the fairway with tee shot as with any course luckily I was paired up with a couple guys that had played there before there are some fairways you do not want to be on the wrong side of with your tee shot and their advise helped alot with this
I would definately play here again
Got a hot deal at $60 but they’re charging around $100.
Muddy bunkers, beat up tee boxes that were tilted, some fairways like rough with those white flowers.. This is a local course for me and I feel bad giving a bad review but they might want to lower the prices
