Legacy Golf Club

Give the course another couple weeks to restore back to great conditions. Top dressing and seeding was done a few weeks ago. Remind the pro shop to send the ranger out there. Can slow down.

Many of the greens are nearly unplayable with a bunch of large uneven patches. They just reseeded the fairways which will be good. While breakfast, lunch and 2 drinks are included, even at $60 I probably won't be back until the greens are back.

The course has a great layout, but condition has gone down dramatically since we last played. It’s a great shame as we always enjoyed playing it.

Great layout. A few quirky holes with blind shots but if you play this course 3-4 times you will love it more each time. Some truly fantastic holes. 7000+ yards from the tips will give you all you can handle and more. Greens were rough today but still played quick. Love this course more and more. A treat.

An interesting and challenging layout. Lots and lots of water. Nice environment for birds etc.

Don’t expect much on the the putting surface. Hopefully things improve.

The price was right I don’t believe it is worth any more than I paid. The greens were in terrible shape! No ranger to speed up play.

Legacy has an interesting layout and was probably a good Arnold Palmer course when it opened. Green fees are cheap and include a good lunch but the course conditions are quite bad. Basically no grass on greens, bunkers are full of weeds and the fairways are patchy. So not great. Staff at bag drop and pro shop could be more friendly but staff in the restaurant are great! I do not recommend playing the course.

I'd definitely play here again. Friendly staff, too.

This is a tough and nice course...Its worth the drive to play...Make sure your t time is before 2 because after 6 the place closes down and you can't even get a beer after. Play early...

Just played Legacy yesterday and the course fairways are in excellent condition and the greens rolled nice and are coming back strong. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Beautiful course and well worth the time to drive down from Tampa. Got a great price on GolfNow and when we showed up we were greeted with a free cold one on draft.

Although I like the course & layout, I was a little disappointed since I last played. The fairways were in fairly good shape. Several of the traps are in terrible shape, victim of the typical summer rains. However, there is no evidence of any attempt to repair. The worst part of the entire round was the greens. Horrible. VERY slow due to lack of cutting, and when they do cut them they are shaved to the point of burn out. Further, there were several greens with misplaced flags... reds in the back, blues in the front. Made for many missed shots. Very evident that the budget bug has hit Legacy... we were there on a special for $30 that included lunch. Of course, the menu said $9 for my sandwich... a microscopic chicken wrap, but it was tasty. As you can see I have mixed emotions about this course. I just hope they straighten out their issues before the club is forced to sell again. I can't see paying $100+ a round in season here.
