Difficult course

In very good condition all around...fairways, greens, bunkers, practice chipping, etc. The range is fine but the method of getting there is stupid. Diff carts to take to range make double work and confusion.

Their method is this. A bag guy loads ur bag based on tee time onto a players cart. You go downstairs, then they have to take off bag and put onto a green range cart...if one is available. Otherwise, you hafta walk to range. You come back--reload playing cart.

Apparently people aren't getting to their tee times when they should-im not sure why they do so much extra work and make it a pain.

Why not just load cart once, let players take it to range, then to course..if anything have a guy or loudspeaker by range calling out next tee time, if that's the issue?

I

It's not anything major, but I would probably play here more often if it was simpler.

Thanks for your review. Unfortunately your description is NOT our course policy. We have range carts at the front of the building for all of our awesome customers to use at no expense. The range is super busy with both range and full golfing customers. You load your bag on the range cart, drive to the range, then come back and our awesome employees load your bag to your on course carts with full gps. We send out 270 players per day. A loudspeaker isn’t going to get it done. What will get it done is a substantial investment in a wonderful cart fleet all in a grid by tee time so that we can get our amazing customers situated well in advance of their tee times. We need to stay organized to get everyone off on time. Far from stupid. Stupid is not our thing. Awesome service is. I will try to get some signage up front to reinforce this. Our hard working cart staff sometimes forget to ask customers if they are going to range first. No criticisms here, we have the best employees in the business. It’s just a very busy time of year for us as we are sold out daily due to great conditions, friendly amazing employees and excellent pricing.

Solid Day

We teed off at 7am, got paired with 2 local guys! They were great, cart guys were great, one group out in front of us that flew. We played in 3 hours. Tees and fairways were nice. Greens ran nice. Layout was fun, GPS helped us quite a bit. Would definitely recommend playing super early.

Slow play

Our GPS showed we were 30 minutes behind by the 6 hole, 3 complaints to the ranger was not effective able to get the play going faster. Suggested that some groups pick up their ball & move to the next hole. Won’t be playing here again.

Pace of play

Overall, good layout, some interesting holes, good conditions, staff was excellent.

5 hours 15 minutes is too much time on the golf course!

We waited on EVERY hole on the front, three hours. A little better on the back 2 hours 15 minutes, better but still too slow…

Unwelcoming Course

There are numerous things that I could list of reasons why I won’t go back nor recommend the club and course, but they boil down to the staff there just simply moving people along with no coordination or connection to how their part of some weird process fits into playing golf.

Despite telling each of the folks that we came across that it was our first time there, none truly offered any guidance or advice as to what to do or where to go next. Had to go back upstairs to the or shop 3 times before we were able to tee off and despite arriving 45 minutes before our tee time, only managed to get 10 minutes on the range (at an additional cost).

I’m sorry you had a bad experience. I get compliments about our friendly and hard working employees all the time. They are working 14 hours per day 365 days per year providing outstanding service and conditions at the same price as a local municipal golf course.

Great layout slowest round of your life

Course is in great shape especially when the greens are cut and rolling quick. The course is a good price and very popular but beware it will be one of the slowest rounds you will ever play. Marshall doesnt do anything but roll by and give a wave. The older population are playing the incorrect tees and taking 20+ mins per hole and there is lots of back up on the course after 1pm. If you tee off anytime after 12pm be prepared for a 5+ hour round. A tough track for older and newer players which leads to very very slow play that is not enforced whats so ever. If they could enforce slow play this course would be the only track i would play just too bad that they pump out as many players as possible.
