The only complaint was the greens were not fully recovered from aeration and were bumpy.

Very nice track. Generous landing area off the tee, a premium placed on good iron play. Greens are fairly small with some tricky undulating pin placements. Overall course conditions are very good. A few places on the greens were a little patchy, but overall good condition. Very good for late August early September. Would definitely recommend this course.

Course was in great shape. Fairways were just cut after a lot of rain but drained effectively. Greens rolled true and were excellent. Challenging layout. Bring your A game.

The fairways are perfect. There is enough rough to impact your approach shots but not so much that you struggle to find your ball. The rains have washed out some of the bunkers but they are playable. The greens were punched a few weeks ago and are slow but puttable, give them about 10 days and they should be excellent. We played in 4 hours on a Sunday morning, did not have to wait and we’re not trying to speed through the round . The elevation changes, small greens, lush fairways and price make black bear a must play and one of the best courses in the area.

I have played Black Bear a number of times and you can never go wrong with this hidden Jem. It's always in great condition for a neighbor course and the staff is always friendly and easy to deal with. I bring all my golfing buddies to Black Bear anytime I can get a chance to book a tee time. Keep up the good work guys I do appreciate it.

This is a PB Dye designed golf course. I is difficult but fair. PB is not as diabolical as his dad Pete so that makes the course a lot more playable. Greens are tiny and well maintained. Fairways and tees are in decent shape. Pace was outstanding. Will definitely play there again. Price is right as well.

Played the course before had a great time. The greens apparently were coming back from Aireation still in fair to good shape most of them. The fairways were decent they were watering certain holes. I think out of respect to us golfers watering the greens should be done much later in the day just prior to closing. Some tee boxes needed some "TLC" overall I enjoy myself definitely will be back left some birdies out there!!!

An amazing father son day on the course. My son and I only get to play a few times a year and we’re both very avg players. It was a great day the course was fun. The links style was something neither of us have played and we loved it. Final score 133 dad to 137. Lol with a few mulligans. We will def be back. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Plus it’s a Pete Dye course.

Fairways and greens are in great shape. Best value for the price out of any course in central florida.

My two sons and I have played 4 courses whilst staying in Apopka and found this to be the best kept and most value for money in the area we have played. It is an interesting course with some tricku undulating greens. I would definitely play this course again.
