Course is very fun. With tight fairways and very small

Greens. Unfortunately Everyone we came in contact with at the course had a terrible attitude. From the pro shop to the starter to the guy washing carts. No respect for people choosing to spend their holiday at Black Bear. Eagle dunes is much better and just down the street.

First time playing this course in years.

I was a single and I got to the 1st tee 5 min before my tee time. There was a 4some in the fairway, a 4some on the tee, a 2some behind d them, me, and another 2some behind me. Neither 2so.e wanted me to join, so on we went. I waited between 15-20 min between shots virtually every hole. 95 degrees, no drink carts and no on course water anywhere. The greens were the slowest I have ever played, hands down. The course was very dry and even crusty in places, but in decent condition otherwise.

What a douche bag. Treats his customers like crap. Was one of my favorite courses traveled hour and half to play but never again. Treated my friends like dog poop NEVER

Elevation changes around tees and bunkers could be difficult for seniors and handicapped players

Well constructed and challenges every part of your game-- Greens were true and bunkers were fair-- Fairways in good shape--hitting off grass with barely a tight lie--Will return again and again when in the area-- If local or in town just looking for a great day of golf-- Black Bear is the answer-- Go out and ENJOY !!!

The only drawback was that we found it difficult to get to, and that may put some visitors off, but once we arrived the staff were friendly and the course was in good condition. It has numerous mounds so you didn't know where your ball may end up!

We were excited to play the course until we found that all the greens were punched…bright note the course used the small holes. This was not indicated on the website or mentioned by the staff. I was surprised because of the full price green fees. The staff at checkout are not very friendly. On the positive side…good course layout and newer golf carts!

Played this course on a recommendation, the course is nice but with dry weather hard ground. Bunkers were sub par. If you like to hike to your T box definitely a place to go. Most had steep Hike with no steps on the white as that is where I played from. Greens and all the course needs water and some care.

Course is challenging for sure, at first glance it appears wide however many holes had steep sides or many bunkers. Speaking of bunkers, hard sand and none cared for sides with grass hanging and vines made it a challenge to say the least.

Pace of play was good, we arrived early and still waited for our T time, a foursome in front of us were quite slow but expected.

I’m glad to have tried this course and will try again after some rain for sure. Glad I have golf now and golf pass for the rates or I would have been pretty upset because it would surely have been to expensive for the quality you should expect.

Rushed to hit range balls to make tee time even though we had 20 min untill time time. This has happened multiple times. Won’t be back and won’t tell friends to come.
