I am a woman and play from the red tee boxes and they were awful. Most of them were just literally on the beginning of the fairway off to the side. They were sloped and did not make for a fair tee shot. I golfed here many years ago and do not remember the tee boxes being like this. I was very disappointed and won’t go back. I would not recommend this course for other women but would for a man.

Worth the drive to play there. Good challenge with elevation changes. A rare in Florida. Small greens ( depth ) and layout provides the challenge for the golfer who wants to test their game. This course is underrated in slope rating. Looking forward to going back.

A pleasurable visit as usual. This place is truly a hidden gem. Teed off at around noon with just a group ahead but pace of place was not an issue. Conditions were in amazing shape from tee boxes, fairways, and greens.

Played here several before as well however never gave any reviews and couldn’t hold back on proving one.. compared to other courses at the same price range BB beats all of them by moles.. to start with T boxes, we’ll maintained, fairways in the best shape and greens are awesome.. I had a 79 most of it adds to the conditions of the course is my strong belief now!!

Course is at its usual nice conditions, played with a fun fellow and completed the round in 2 hours and 40 minutes. The staffs are very friendly (as they always are). I did notice some chemical damage on some greens, perhaps the equipment needs some fix. Will come back again

Scenic course with challenging terrain features

Always enjoy an outing at Black Bear Golf Course. The owner and staff are always warm and welcoming. Improvements are being made continuously ~ new carts, added tee boxes, added attention to bunker maintenance, etc. Began playing this course on a regular basis in April 2020 and the conditions have been continually improving. Very enjoyable yet challenging course.
