Punched tee boxes, some over-sanded, but doesn't really affect play. Greens are thick, consistent, but a little slower than I like. Evidence of lots of fertilizer recently applied.

course is in good shape - another few weeks it should be fabulous.

The tee boxes where punched but it did not effect the play, fairways and green were in great condition.

Enjoyable Round and Nice Restaurant

Overall the course is in great shape and the layout is tough but forgiving. Greens may be the toughest part of the course unless you hit too many bunkers. Nachos and brews afterwards were very good so all in all it was a great day!

Typical Pete Dye layout, but without the fast greens.

I enjoy this course for the layout. I always seem to meet great and enjoyable people when I get paired at Black Bear. My only negatives concerning this course is that the greens are very slow. There’s grass almost everywhere, but if I had to guess a stimp meter, it would be a 6 or 7. It was still enjoyable to play tee to green though. Oh, would SOMEONE please take the bunkers? Ugh!

Tremendous P.B. Dye Course

Great overall experience: pro shop got me off early as a single, members were great, outside staff (.carts) could not have been more helpful - great customer service. I was blown away by the course, I was not expecting rolling / tumbling fairways, numerous deep bunkers, small undulating greens - all of this made for a terrific layout. The greens, tee boxes and fairways were in great shape.

This is a must play if in the Orlando area.
