About
South/North is one of three golf courses at Fernandina Beach Golf Club. The facility is home to three distinct nines that form three different 18-hole combinations. Winding through thick forests of oaks and pines, Fernandina Beach Golf Club's South/North course offers a glimpse at native Florida wildlife. The South nine depends more on accuracy rather than distance while the north nine, the shortest in length of the three, features undulating greens. Water hazards also come into play throughout the golf course. Fernandina Beach's 27 unique holes are made even more appealing by the affordable rates and convenient proximity to Jacksonville and the beach.

Bad choice
Poorly maintained
Lots of clover and sparse grass in fairways
ROBBERY
This course looks like a cow pasture with greens. Blaming the storm is not acceptable because the issues were caretaking in nature. I would not play this course again.
Worst course in America
Where do I start - first, could not make a tee time on the phone but only on Golf Now. Staff clearly not aware of policies and attending to island residents.
Upon arrival, we were directed to the South nine. There are theee 9-hole layouts and they sent everyone to the same tee?? Started almost 15 minutes late.
Pace of play was brutal…not the fault of the threesome in front of us, just packed with slow and inconsiderate players and NO Marshall anywhere.
Finally - conditions (if you could call it that) were just above pasture quality. Every tee box a weed pit, dead spots through the fairways, and the absolute worst greens I’ve ever played.
I get it - it’s a muni, money is tight. I love golf but this place deserves to be turned into more condos. Save your money and go anywhere else…or the beach.
Really slow play!
We had two groups of five players each on a Saturday! So slow couldn’t get any pace. Course was in Sad shape, wouldn’t recommend.
Great course
Had a lot of fun playing his course. Great challenge without too much penalty for bad shots. Trees are in line of a couple drives that make it tough to drive the ball. Overall a great course and will definitely be back.
Decent value
Course is in ok shape. Fairways and greens could definitely be better. One thing we noticed was that the greens from the West course were at least twice as fast as the North course. Took a few holes to get used to it. Overall, we had fun and it is a good value. Will definitely play again.
Work needs to be done
The greens on the west course were deplorable. The layout of the west course was excellent the greens on the north course were very good but the waiting for all the people who were walking in the lack of management of keeping group separated on the turn caused the plate to be much longer than expected
Don't waste your.money!
Very poor condition. Greens & tees need LOTS of work. Fairways were full of weeds. If not for the nice employees it wouldn't deserve a rating. Even with the discounted rate it was way over priced for conditions.
