North/West at Fernandina Beach Golf Club
About
Fernandina Beach Golf Club is home to three distinct nines, the North, South, and West that make up three different 18-hole combinations. This 27-hole facility boasts a unique configuration on each of the nines for a truly diverse golfing experience. The North/West course at Fernandina Beach Golf Club combines the longest nine, the West, and the shortest nine, the North. The North nine features undulating greens and water hazards but the generous, wide-open fairways of the West nine make the golf course accessible to players of all skill levels. Native foliage in addition to towering oaks and pines throughout the course allow for a scenic escape in addition to an excellent round.

Trash
This course was worth dealing with thr poor conditions when they only charged 25 bucks for a round. now its no less than 40. why would anyone pay that when they can go around the corner to amelia river for 50 and play a great course with far better amenities. this place needs to improve and charging people more aint it chief.
Great municipal course
Challenging and long from the white tees. Especially the 500+ yard par 5’s.
Great value using GolfNow specials.
worst course ever!
This is the worst course we have ever played. Nothing but mud and sand on some of the tee boxes. Fairways had a LOT of bad places that were unplayable,,, hitting off packed dirt. Often, little grass to hit off from. Trees growing out over fairways and tee boxes. Some ladies tees were in the rough. This course should not even be on your list of courses to play! I play about 4 times a week, a 7-9 handicap, and couldn't wait to get off course!
Great Value for 18 holes
FBGC is a great value for golfers looking to enjoy 18. They have three nine hole courses.
The course conditions are average and there really is no Clubhouse other than a cafe.
Not the course if you are looking for great course conditions and a 19th hole.
It is the good course for average golfers or those looking to not spend a lot to play.
Ok
Fairways are good. Greens are great. Teeboxes are mostly poor.
Affordable and fun
This local municipal golf course is fun to play with affordable pricing. If only more attention was given to the fairways, this might be a wonderful course to take friends and family.
Fernandina Beach GC, Amelia Island FL
Reasonably good greens. Fairways are, generally, thin...bare in many spots. Lots a trees. A chainsaw would be the ideal 14th club. Many bare to totally bare tee boxes.
A very friendly place, though. They seem to be very happy to welcome a person to the course. I do not always feel that way at many courses It is what it is. I have had a nice time every time I have played here. Everyplace else in the area is $30 - $70, possibly more, per round.
Good value
Price was good, the staff was friendly but was a bit disappointed. The fairways were good, as were the greens. However, if you got off the fairway they were in very rugged shape. In addition, the tee boxes left a lot to be desired. Especially the ladies tees. We played the West course nine and the South course nine.
Great Quick round on a perfect October day.
Teed off at 11:00 as a twosome. Tallied up the scores at 2:00.
The white tees were challenging with the long par 5s and changing ocean wind directions.
Great layout. Course could use some spot trimming around the perimeters to spruce it up a bit.
The front nine (north course) was in excellent shape. The back nine (south course) could use some attention but was still on par with most of the courses I’m used to playing. Would definitely play here again.
Golf course condition
I live in Atlanta and own property in Fernandina Beach. I have played this course for 21 years, and the condition of the golf course is the worst I have ever seen it. I don't know what the problem is with course maintenance, but improvements need to be made asap ie very sparse fairways, only one inch of sand in bunkers, no grass on several tees and bare spots on greens.. The three courses have a great layout, but need to be maintained properly. I am not sure I will play here again.
Rough and Rutty
Greens fast but good shape
Sand traps had sand
Fairways and side walks in bad shape
Nasty rough
