North/West at Fernandina Beach Golf Club
About
Fernandina Beach Golf Club is home to three distinct nines, the North, South, and West that make up three different 18-hole combinations. This 27-hole facility boasts a unique configuration on each of the nines for a truly diverse golfing experience. The North/West course at Fernandina Beach Golf Club combines the longest nine, the West, and the shortest nine, the North. The North nine features undulating greens and water hazards but the generous, wide-open fairways of the West nine make the golf course accessible to players of all skill levels. Native foliage in addition to towering oaks and pines throughout the course allow for a scenic escape in addition to an excellent round.

Goat track
The staff is wonderful. The course is terrible. The fairways and greens are for the most part in abysmal condition. The course needs a lot of work. There are better options for your golfing dollar.
Last resort
The course is in rough shape. Greens are horrible. Very bumpy with a mixture of different grasses. Tee boxes are bad. Trees have overtaken many of the fairways. Got to be straight down the the middle or you're punch shooting all day. Carts are decent though, I believe they were purchased last year. I play this course only when I cannot get on my regular courses.
I could not slide the ratings bar.
Excellent staff!
Great food!!
Good course.
Fairways are in good condition.
Greens in fair condition.
nice layout, west course very challenging
Greens were disappointing. Very spotty grass-wise. Rough was mostly gravel in many areas.
fun 27 hole course
The course itself was nice. Great layout..The greens need attention but overall a great day and staff members were great.
Good public golf course for North Florida.
This golf course has recently spent time clearing areas all over the course to make it more playable and golfer friendly and has added new carts as well as being an overall good value for the money.
Course was in good shape for a municipal course. Value for the play was great. We will definately be back and will play the South Course next time.
We played in 4 hours and it was a good afternoon for the value. We will definately be back to play the South nine as we played the North and West this past weekend.
Below average municipal course
The tee boxes were very uneven. The greens have severe burned spots.
The sand traps were shallow with sand - hitting solid dirt just under the surface.
For $10.00 less - it woujld have been decent value.
The club house was nicely supplied and the restrauant had a good menu. Wish they had coke products.
Carts paths were in bad shape - causing above average wear and tear on carts.
This is our main course to play and Love it
I recommend this course to anyone looking to play on Amelia Island....27 holes divided on the 3 9 hole courses....West is Long, North is wide, and South is tight....Love this place
the course was challenging yet fun
the tees ,fairways and greens were in good condition.
we played with alot of wind and cold that day.
The staff was good and the track played a litte hard.
I liked it. I would recomend to anyone ....and the price was
great!
good bang for the buck!
27 holes and some very challenging. Always a fun round and the staff are very friendly.
the conditions are in good shape for this time of year and well worth the money.
we try to get a round in every week
Needs maintenance attention to tees, greens, and bunkers.
This course includes three nine-hole layouts: North (shortest), West (long), and South (narrower, tree lined). All are pretty flat; it is an understatement to say the course is not lush. The hole layouts are undistinguished with a handful of exceptions. Dig outs for ponds near completion may help enhance the course's visual appeal. The condition of the course varies during the year but it is never excellent and some areas of the fairways can be sparse most of the time. Many tees are in serious disrepair. Greens are quite slow and at times even shaggy. Mostly it is dirt not sand one finds in the bunkers. The ground around some greens may be loose and spongy making crisp approach shots more difficult. A municipal course with a fee structure that seems high given the facility quality, it nonetheless draws many people to play including locals. Play is moderately fast. Generally speaking, the staff is friendly and helpful although there are exceptions. There are two public courses on Amelia Island and this is not currently the better one.
This course offers 27 holes with good features.
West & south course offers the toughest challenge. You are require to use precise ball placement.
Good
We played the West and the South courses. They both have improved 100% over the last year. With a little more work, they will be comparable to most of the courses on Amelia Island.
Great Muny for Friends and Family
Fernandina Beach has three nines--each with its own personality. The North Course is probably the favorite, fun, straight forward, and a great nine to play with wife or family. The West is a long-hitter's nine to play with the guys, and the South is my favorite--a 'target' course, with trouble & just long enough to provide a good challenge.
I've played dozens of rounds at FBGC and have enjoyed it each time.
Nice layout but need to get it together
Had two flow groups ahead. Tees are terrible. Greens are slick as glass. Booked threesome but called in morning to add player and was told spot was booked but no one was put with us when we played!
