North/West at Fernandina Beach Golf Club
About
Fernandina Beach Golf Club is home to three distinct nines, the North, South, and West that make up three different 18-hole combinations. This 27-hole facility boasts a unique configuration on each of the nines for a truly diverse golfing experience. The North/West course at Fernandina Beach Golf Club combines the longest nine, the West, and the shortest nine, the North. The North nine features undulating greens and water hazards but the generous, wide-open fairways of the West nine make the golf course accessible to players of all skill levels. Native foliage in addition to towering oaks and pines throughout the course allow for a scenic escape in addition to an excellent round.

Fairway
Course is kinda boring. Back and forth hold. Fairways could use work but the greens were in pretty good shape. . I the starter the day we were there, I believe his name was Rich, was very jice
Okay golf
Staff were very friendly. Electric carts were nice. We played the West and the South. The West was easier than the South. We are mid-seventies in age and found the gold tees to play long. Some tees were closed for repair. Greens were ok but not what we are used to in the north in the summer. The fairways did have some grass but were far from plush. We paid the Hot Deal price and felt that it was more expensive than a course in that condition should be. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the round but felt that we got what we paid for or maybe not as much as we paid for.
Used the hot deal.
Golfing on the island is not cheap.
A nice public venue on Amelia Island. Greens are good. Fairways and green surround s make chipping a challenge
Check in the box Golf Round
Played the course for the 1st time to check it off my bucket list. The price of the round of golf was overpriced in my opinion for the course conditions. However, I did enjoy the layout of the course and the pace of play. Would play the course again if the price was lowered due to the greens and fairway conditions.
The course was starting to look good the last time I played it. This time..not so much. Usually the South course is in pretty good condition, but this time it was pretty ruff.
A bit slow
I have played here before and barely run into people who are walking the course. This time, there were 2 groups in a row that were walking. Surprised this was allowed on a Friday afternoon especially around spring break.
Majestic Old Live Trees
Loved the course. Greens and fairways were in great condition. Greens were fast.
Not what I expected
This is March and course was in similar condition Putting Green, had no surface tee boxes not great as were fairways-not much grass. Greens were aces and spaces. Enjoyed the layout.
Very friendly staff all around.

Fernandina Beach GC
We played the North-South courses. I've heard may things about "The City" course for a few years under new management. I've been on Amelia Island for nine years and had never played here because of the reputation of being bad. My opinion: Is the course is "pretty good". The North course, not so good; greens were bumpy and bad in places. The tees were horrible and fairways unkept. It is winter. That is the bad news. The good; the South course was very good. The greens were nice, true and very little damage, the were tees OK, and the fairways sparse. However, the layout is Great! The South course is fun to play. Like I said before, it is winter in north Florida and conditions are not perfect anywhere. This golf course could be very good with consistent maintenance, investment into tees and bunkers and trimming and cutting back trees. I will play the course again throughout the year hoping for the winter conditions to improve and the management reads this and makes a few changes. It is certainly worth playing here. The cost is not bad. $70 on Golf Now. Everything else on Amelia Island is private, or expensive.
good value
We certainly enjoyed playing at this course.
It was a good value for the money!
Reluctant
I was concerned when no one was booking this course, the layout is good but the course needs work. Tee boxes need to be leveled and grass, fairways rock hard, greens hit and miss
The price should be lowered until the course has recovered
My biggest complaint, on the south course a group behind us hit into us several times a ranger would have helped it’s rude idiots that take away from enjoying the round
