About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

Very enjoyable
Even though this is a busy course (played on mid-morning on a Thursday), the pace of play was very good (about 4 hours). The course marshals were evident but not pushy at all. The greens rolled very well but were not extraordinarily fast. My friend and I were fortunate to get paired with a knowledgeable member, saving both strokes and ammo. The layout is very diverse with doglegs, water and sand in all the right (or wrong) places. I look forward to getting even with this course the next time I am in the area.

Greens are bad
Poor greens were biggest problem. Fairways and tee boxes fairly good for this time of year. Course offers a lot of challenges from any tee.

Get a ranger!
Great course, but please get a ranger that will enforce the pace of play! Behind a foursome that would not let us play through and no one was in front of them! I shouldn’t have to skip a hole in my round of golf!

Unexpected treat
This was actually the second time my friend and i played the course.Was really surprised at how tricky the course is.Especially the first time you play it.And when the wind is 15 to 25mph it becomes a little more tricky.Seeing that there is water on most of the holes.Only complaint i jave is there is so much play on the course that i found while putting alot of pitch marks on the greens.Just wish players for one fix thete pitch marks and when they do properly fix them.But besides that i wil be back.

Fairly new golfer.
This course has been very well taken care of. Greens are actually green. Good layout. I'm fairly new at this, so I don't have alot to compare to. I do think they overbooked a little. We had alot if slow play due to the backup in front of us. Over all, we had a great day.

Bent creek in December
Great course for this time of year. Greens were is ok shape but to be expected. Other than some leafy areas on the course. It was great. Looking forward to playing it in the spring.

Tee boxes need help
Overall the course is in good shape. Unfortunately the tee boxes were not over seeded with rye grass and it is noticeable. Outside of that flaw go play and enjoy the day.
Great Value
Bent Creek is consistently a good quality course to play for the money....it is a tough layout, but conditions are generally good and enjoyable
Consistently good
This course, under the auspices of Billy Casper Golf and the Audubon Society, is always fun to play. A fair test of all skill levels. Plays to a par 71. Always in good condition and maintained well. Skillful ground crews. Pro shop is small but staff are friendly.
