Birkdale Golf Club

It’s been several years since I’ve played here, but I thoroughly enjoyed the round. Overall solid condition, fixed a ton of ball marks (golfers need to do better) but the fairways and greens were in good shape for the price. It’s short yardage wise on the card, but they make good use of that yardage with the layout and narrower design on many holes that lends itself to aiming for specific targets and angles. The range is nice for a solid warmup before the round. Course wasn’t busy when I played but it seems as though they try to maintain a good pace of play judging by the reminders.

They have done a nice jon making improvements - if they could just get golfer to repair ballmarks!

The course was in decent shape. They had made a few improvements to some holes. I have a couple of issues that can be corrected easily. The pace of play needs to be addressed. They could give another minute between tee times on the weekend and the bunkers need some more sand in them. The greens were in decent shape but people need to fix their ball marks. I had a good time and would play it again. Give it a shot!

The course was in great shape, considering we had a storm the night before I also noticed they had someone riding around, checking on the pace of play and making sure everything was going smoothly. It really helped a lot. It’s obvious that they read their reviews and take them very seriously and correct in the defects that they may find that is why I feel this is one of the best public courses around right now hopefully I will play this course again in the near future and the lady driving the beverage cart came around a lot and made sure that we had Gatorade and anything else we may need. She was definitely on top of it. Sure do appreciate you.

Throughly enjoyed the round, even though it was cartpath only due to rain the previous night. Some water in the bunkers but expected. Definitely coming back.

We had a 3:55pm tee time and there was no starter it was just basically first come first serve. There was just two of us and we had a few foursomes jump ahead of us because the tee was open and we only got 10 holes in due to the slow play and they would not let us play through. I do like this course for the price and its close to home but this happens there often. Need some better organization to keep people moving on the course.

Rush ro play and staff was condicedent and disrespectful.

The course is 100% better than it was a couple of years ago. This is turning.intoy go.to.plave to play vor.the value.and conditions. Be aware that a lot.pf.times.on weekends like all.cpirsea.ot.gets.packednbut even worse than that is members play extremely slow. Enough to stack groups up and will.not let people play through . Generally they only play 9 but be aware as this has happened multiple times to.me.

Course appears to be making some nice changes. Things are looking good and the greens were in nice condition. Thanks
