Great Layout
The two most distinguishing features of this course are the layout and the location. I really like the layout which offers some challenging strategy. There are many holes where driver is not a default choice. Good undulations and slopes. The greens were in good shape and the notable downside is the abundance of geese and their droppings. Location is superb and very easy to get to from anywhere in Jacksonville.
Slow play -cow pasture
We got stuck behind two five-somes. They were slow and refused to let us play through.
The greens were in terrible shape and the fairways were mediocre at best.
We walked off the course at the turn!
KEEP IT IN FAIRWAY
this course is very nice to play but challenging. The people are nice on the course and in the pro shop.I like it very much
Slow back 9, overall good
Conditions: rough very dormant, fairways in good shape, most greens in good shape aside from #1 which is always bad. Pace of play was fine on the front 9 (~2 hrs) but slowed to a crawl on the back (~3 hrs) for a total of around 5 hours. Never saw a ranger to move things along. This was a Monday afternoon, 1pm tee time. For a course that gets as much play is Windsor they keep it in about as good condition as possible for the price.
Great value for a Great place
It was very friendly, I would go back always. You have a Very nice club, good people.Im glad I played your course. Thank You.
Good fun
6700 yards from the tips. Good test and target course. Water on many holes with distance control a must! Greens not fast but challenging.
Bang for your buck
First round after escaping snow from the ortheast. Quite a challenge from the tips. Lots of water.
Course Condition
Some greens have burned out patches on them. Fairways are thin due to lack of over seeding.
Good layout
Good condition and a fair Challenge. Greens ran true
Great course; fun time!
Took a guest from out of town. The weather was perfect as well as the condition of the course. Will definite bring her back for another round.
Fun Course
From the back tees make sure your hitting well with the big stick as the fairway is a fair distance away. A lot of water in some pretty tricky places and some narrow paths to the green. Unfortunately I picked the coldest and windiest day of the year to pick a tee time so the balls weren't flying well but I will definitely schedule for a better day.
I just advise that the course will be a bit muddy if you choose the day after rain. Greens were pretty exceptional though. Not a bad course at all and a nice staff.
Great Course
Play this course very regularly, as I live right next door (less than 5 minute drive). Very friendly, and professional staff throughout. Course was in excellent condition, especially considering we had 2 days of pretty hard rain, not to mention a rather cold winter for NE FL standards, just prior to playing on Sunday.
Windsor Parke - winter
Overall course in good condition. Greens were suspect. Could have been cold damage but , many of the edges were spotty.
Great staff, left my sunglasses in the cart and they hunted me down and returned them!
Tight layout on some holes, I would play Windsor Parke again.
Ok value
Greens being worked on (recently sanded) and cart path construction. Recent weather could have caused some of the issues. Lots of wet soggy ground.
Winter Play
A few really wet spots. The greens had been sanded but were rolling pretty well all things considered.
Happy to play this course
January in Jacksonville is not prime time condition for Golf courses having said that the course was in reasonable condition for the time of year. The great part of this course is the terrain. Every hole has undulations and mounds that make it visually appealing and challenging. Plenty of water to make you pay attention to your shotss. Staff couldn't be nicer. I'll certainly play again when I am in the area
Great greens
Greens are top shape. Fairways and tee boxes not too bad. None of the holes have ball wash stations or drinking water
Looks like the place is looking tired.
Usually enjoyed this course in the past. Recognized that the winter conditions had recently taken some harsh effects as has all courses in this area. Found some trip hazards at tee boxes and other wood decaying around the course. Greens were furry but playable. Cart staff, starter and cart "girl" were totally disinterested in our comments and needs. Great location and hope this course returns to its former conditions and friendliness. Value at current price is questionable.
Good Day!
Enjoyed the round but the sun never showed up. Turned cold and windy in the afternoon and just wanted to finish. I enjoy the course and I am not shoveling snow...GREAT day overall!!
