Come play this course
My brother-in-law played with me for the first time and loved the course (he plays 3 days a week in Valrico, FL). I maintain my handicap there and play as often as I can (which is not as much as I would like). We played virtually by ourselves until a single came up and joined us. We have a great time and the hot chocolate flowed early on as it was cool.
Needs attention to the small things
I live near this course and it seems they are trying to get back up to being one of the nicer courses but it's the small things that make me think twice about keeping the golfers they have. Today I noticed that the fairways were very fury (needs cutting), Tee Boxes need leveling (about 75% of the tees today were on a slant or had a gully), no shoe brush outside the half way house doors, no club cleaning devices (water or brush) on the driving range. These were just some of the things that golfers need at a course to keep coming back. The greens are so near to being back to their greatness of years ago. I think this course can make it to the top.
Staff is atrocious
This course is fun and maintained well BUT you will deal with a rude staff, Pro shop, starter, bar-pick one Many more tracks in the Jacksonville area that meet or exceed expectations-WP is well known by locals for the reasons stated.
Take your business elsewhere, they think they are a private course, not even close
on an upward trend
Sometimes this course has had maintenance issues, but course was as good as I have seen in awhile and greens were as speedy and true as any muni or semi-private in Jacksonville. Well done
Great Course
We went to play on 11/26 but it was raining and the course was closed. I prepaid for this round as a hot deal and the pro shop staff was more than accommodating to help me reschedule our round for the next day. Great staff and a very nice course. Will continue to play here.
Staff was very rude. If they were a little nicer the day would have been a lot better.
The staff looked like they did not want to be there. It was a windy day and there was not very many people on the course. The owners need to realize that there course is not the top course in Jacksonville.
The course itself was in good shape. The greens rolled true, they did not look great but rolled well. The fairways are in great shape.
Challenge yourself
Course in great shape, greens fast, tough layout but rewards good shots. Had a fun day.
Interesting layout
Hard to give an unbiased review as I shot my lowest round of the year! Overall, the course was in good shape. The greens were rolling true as they just rolled them the morning I played. Sunk a lot of 10 foot putts which helped my score greatly. A few greens had some bare spots, but what course doesn't ? Traps were okay shape considering that it rained pretty hard the night before. It is clear that the maintenance staff is paying attention to them. Will definately play here again.
Nice Design, would Play Again
The course is challenging and fun. Would play again when in the area.
Very nice course
Great course, great layout, good condition for mid-November. We enjoyed it and would go back.
course is good....
Conditions were good on the tees and fairways....greens were just overseeded and had not yetpopped .....so they were a bit rough..........overall not bad.
Great course
Course layout is very nice and in very good condition except that they had just sanded the greens but still it was a most pleasant experience. Good price to quality ration with GolfNow. We would go back to this course as it met our expectations.
Excellent course
Excellent course. Challenging layout. Friendly staff. Nice practice area.
Enjoyable day!
Nice combination of water and elevation changes to make it a challenging course.
great course, great value
not sure what golf course the previous reviewer played but this golf course is in excellent condition...definitely rivals the private courses I've played around Jax and very challenging track with the wind blowing as it was...lots of fun.
good layout, poor maintenance
You could literally loose a ball in the rough just off the fairway. The fairway grass was thin and hard to hit from. The greens were in good condition and the layout of the course was good. Staff was friendly.
This course has it all. Great course.
Play was fast. Greens and fairways are in great shape. Challenging hole locations that force you to play smart golf.
very good value
course was in good to very good shape. Liked playing from blue tees(approx. 6400 yds) front 9 has a lot of water holes.
greens were good to very good. tees were good
we played with a twosome from Miami, they thought they were on a private course, hole 3s new green is well worth waiting for. Greens rolling true
Course was in great shape despite all of rain, no waiting on any holes, always a fun challenge and worth the price.

This comment makes ZERO sense...rough was too thick but the fairways were thin? Greens were good but somehow the course needs maintenance?
