18th Green at Queen's Harbour Photo submitted by mcstanley78 on 08/09/2013
Really Enjoyed
I read a few of the recent reviews and they were not positive regarding tee boxes, greens etc. I found the tee boxes and greens were excellent, especially after the recent 4 days of heavy rain. Fairways were wet in a couple of spots but I was expecting worse after the rains. I will definitely go back and play again.
Excellent course
Top notch course thats fit any skill level. A must play!
Scenic Holes
Pace of play was issue. Took over 4.5 hours to play. Staff super friendly. Make time to get past the gated entrance or you might be late for your tee time. Will definitely go back.
It was ok
The course wasn't in the best of shape. That’s disappointing for the community it is in and the cost. The pace of play was slower than a turtle which was ridiculous. It took over 5 hours for the round. That is absolutely appalling. The staff were nice but with limited interaction. We paid like 26$ for 3 hotdogs, two bags of chips and 1 water at the turn. That was highway robbery. But what can you do? Overall my experience was average at best.
Perfect day at Queen's Harbor
Weather was perfect for golf. Course was quite busy for a week day. Greens are nice, but fast and a little bumpy make for tough putting. Most of the fairways were in good condition. Nice course considering the lack of rain we have been having the past couple of months.
Rough conditions, slow play
Tee boxes are in terrible shape, a bunch of different types of grass on the greens making it very bumping and the ball zig zags, fairways were terrible. Very disappointing. Went in to get something to eat on the turn, kitchen was closed, no food. Unfriendly staff evertime I come here. I will not be playing this course again. Very expensive for what it is.
Some rough spots
Greens run excellent condition staff was great tea boxes were horrendous and the fairways were under some type of repairs with brown lines every 16 in apart on all fairways. And all it was still a nice day challenging golf course
Not as good as it once was
Queen’s used to be one of the better conditioned courses in the area. It has diminished in quality since Covid. A few really poor looking tee boxes. Greens ran true but several looked bad..maybe a fungus or something. Fairways are striped tee to green with burnt lines. Very bizarre looking and I think this should be declared online, and prices should be reduced because of such conditions. I get it, Florida needs rain, but prices are too high for current course conditions.
Great layout and pretty views
My first time playing this course. Staff couldn’t have been nicer and more welcoming. The course is both challenging and fun to play. Great layout and I loved the back nine water views. Fairways were recently aerated and had 1/4 inch lines running from tee boxes to greens so you had to move your ball around. The greens were very nice, fast but rolled true. Pin placements were a challenge! I will play this course every time I am in the area.
