18th Green at Queen's Harbour Photo submitted by mcstanley78 on 08/09/2013
Very nice
I played it for the first time and was impressed. The greens were surprisingly fast particularly on the down grain putts. Im not used to grain so it took 9 holes to figure it out. Not knowing the course I would change some of my club selection on some tee shots. I need less than driver on some par fours. I would recommend this golf course to anyone.
Horrible Pro Shop Staff
We have played this course several times. The greeters at the bag drop and in the bar area are helpful and friendly. The pro shop staff are rude and crabby. We had booked two tee times, one for a threesome and another as a twosome—knowing we could not and would not play as five. Apparently there are many members who live in the course and spy on golfers, and call the pro shop if anything seems against the rules of etiquette. We were told that if we bunched together they would get angry calls in the pro shop. We assured them we would not and we didn’t. However on the 8th and 9th hole things got backed up and our threesome had to wait on the tee box behind our twosome, so three carts and five players were waiting. We waited for the twosome to tee off and clear the fairway before we teed off. As we quit after nine because of rain we went back into the clubhouse to get rain checks. Jacob said he wouldn’t give them because someone called in we were playing as a fivesome! He said he also watched our carts on his computer. We assured him that wasn’t the case and he still didn’t believe us. The guy was a real jerk with a power complex. We finally got our 9-hole rain checks and as he was handing them to us he said he hoped not to get in trouble from “corporate”. The guy should be fired. And even at that, he was only going to give us 2 of the 5 rain checks.
Greens are in vey good condition for the time of year
Always enjoy the layout. Not a good course to walk. For this time of the year conditions are better then most courses in the area.
Beautiful but difficult course
The course is located in a beautiful residential community with a boat marina.
I have a handicap of 17 and I found the course to be quite difficult. Several sand traps surround greens. Pin placement close to sand traps. Greens are very fast.
Very disappointed
Purchased a round for me and my son in law on the Golf now app for an afternoon game.He loves this course so I wanted to surprise him with a round of golf on his favorite course. When we got there to pay at the front desk they said there was a tournament going on, which was news to me. This tournament should’ve been noted on the GN app when I booked the round. I would’ve NEVER booked this round if I had known about this event. The pace of play was ridiculously slow. We had to wait 10 - 15 minutes in between shots and that is totally unacceptable for the money I spent. I would’ve been better off calling the pro desk and booking my game directly with them and hopefully they would’ve said something about the tournament going on before I booked a round.
THIS IS ANOTHER GOOD REASON WHY I WONT PAY FOR THE GOLF PASS !
I’m not happy with the way things went this day.
Great Track
Outstanding track. Very challenging with a lot of hazards on each hole. The course has a substantial amount of dog legs to force shot placement. Nevertheless, the greens can be better. Multiple types of grass on the greens and they all have different speeds. Most of the greens roll true. I recommend keeping the practice greens and the course greens at the same speed. With that said, this is a great track with outstanding ecstatics. Love the view!
Queen’s Harbour and yacht golf course
The golf course is in fabulous condition. The people there could not be more kind. My first time playing there. I had an awesome experience.
Good shape
Nice to see Queens in good shape again. Fast greens in good shape.
Beautiful setting and great golf
Course was in very good condition, greens rolling true and at a good pace. Some very challenging holes. Helps to play it once to get to know hole features. Watch out for the par 5 17th…. Shorter fairway runs out to a waste area. Hit soft driver and had to hit second shot from 2 feet into waste area and hit to safety layup area. Great track, challenging. Very fun, nice staff. Great clubhouse.
Well worth the $$
Tougher course than I’m used to but Everything was a 10/10 beautiful course! Great shape!
