18th Green at Queen's Harbour Photo submitted by mcstanley78 on 08/09/2013
Great Potential, but poor execution
One of the golf pros was very dismissive and indifferent, tried to overcharge me for 18 holes, carts were filthy, major backups on multiple holes, took 4 hrs for a two some to play 18 holes, and honestly, there are better courses for the money.
Typical Country Club
Pro shop staff was not very friendly and even tried to overcharge for a tee time. Major backups, which caused our group to rush through and feel like we didn't get a chance to enjoy the course. Layout and conditions are phenomenal, but we're diluted due to the other issues.
Fun time
The course is a beautiful place. However, there are water hazards on every hole except the first.
Course was in good condition for the season. Greens were fast and smooth. Fairways were spotty
Awesome Course, with great views!!!
Played for the first time and is very nice layout, with good challenging hazards. Greens were a little sandy but very nice compare to other courses in the area.
2/7/2025, 10:48am tee time, 4 players
2/7/2025,10:48am tee time, 4 players. Normally runs $80 each for the round at our tee time but snagged a hot deal for $60 each on GolfNow. This is a beautiful course and everything was great except we didn’t see a drink cart the entire round front and back. Luckily the weather was 70 and overcast or we would’ve been dying. Loaded up a bit at the turn, but told again we’d see a drink cart on the back 9 at some point. No dice. Understandable if there’s nobody working the drink carts on the course that day or ever, but let us know. We were told at the start and the turn there was someone out there and we’d see them. However, that was not the case for the entire round. The only other knock is the carts don’t have digital maps/range. I won’t pay $80 until they get screens in the carts. At $60 I can live with it. Otherwise, the course was fantastic! I would’ve given 5 stars if we saw a drink cart at least once during the round. Maybe it was a one off. Anyways, fix that and add screens to the carts. Maybe upgrade those old carts all together and there’d be nothing to complain about. Course itself is immaculate!
A good value
I had played this course several years ago and remembered enjoying the layout. I played on a weekday afternoon. While the course had a number of people playing, the pace of play was very good. The course conditions were great for February. If only my golf game equaled the experience.
My only complaint (and it had nothing to do with the course) was the noseeums were quite bad later in the afternoon. Dress and apply bug spray as allowed.
Nice Value Good Challenge
Queens Harbour provides plenty of challenges with water on every hole except the first one.. There are six tee boxes with yardages from 5073-6983. The course is in good winter condition with large greens that roll true. The fairways were ample but good club selection is key because of the water and several doglegs. The course weaves through the Queen’s Harbour community and is not very walkable. There is a beverage cart that made the rounds. We played in 3:45 minutes. We will play again.
Fair but Challenging Course
QH is a fair but challenging golf course. Make a mistake and you almost always pay for it. Course condition was somewhat spotty especially the fairways, but to be expected this time of year. Greens were in surprisely good condition.
Good Golf, Funny Track, Long Day
Really like the golf at Queens Landing. The holes are fun and challenging and the course was in good shape. The track itself and layout between holes is odd at best. The layout allows for stacking of groups for a course that already plays slow.
We played almost a 5 hour round, and the irst 6 holes took almost 2 hours alone. Ranger was friendly but not helpful to move along pace. Would absolutely play again, but would play as early as possible to avoid the 5 hour golfers
