The 18-hole Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 7516 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 141 and a 76.0 USGA rating. The course features 5 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.

Of all the Disney courses, the Magnolia supports a greater abundance of wildlife. At any given time, you're likely to see deer, osprey, alligators and turtles. A flock of wild turkeys has brought several tournaments to a standstill while they pecked along its fairways. The course features elevated tees and greens with wide and generous fairways graced by over 1,500 magnolia trees that bloom from late spring to mid-summer. Brightly colored crape myrtles and oleanders, along with beds of blue plumbego and seasonal flowers, add sparkle to an otherwise dense, natural forest.

Moved us to the Palm on the back

Magnolia is nice. The back 9 was closed so we played the front on the Palm. First 4 holes on the Palm felt like playing on a construction zone beside a freeway. The last few holes were great.

Very nice course

We enjoy this course, it worth the money we spent. Very friendly employees but they are looking for tip when you finish your game by standing near the cart and try to do something like washing our clubs.

A very large disappointment

A very large disappointment. We played this course and we were incredibly disappointed with the conditions. We were asked to play 9 on Magnolia and 9 on the Palm course. We waited over an hour at the turn and the front nine was absolutely despicable conditions. The back nine on the palm were actually good conditions but given the price we paid it was not fair to the customer. I have written Disney a review and I hope I hear back.

Not worth the money

I've played pga level courses before and I did not find this course to be in pga level shape for the cost. This is an average at best course in my opinion. The layout was challenging, but the conditions were not great. The fairways were cut long, the greens were in okay condition.

Not worth the money. I've played nicer courses for half the price.

A Canadian Perspective

All of the Disney courses are awesome. Magnolia provides a tough test, especially on a windy day. Recommend play early in the day as the greens get a bit fuzzy later. A busy course due to its popularity so give it 4+ hrs. Worth it, though.
