About
The 18-hole Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Magnolia Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 7516 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 141 and a 76.0 USGA rating. The course features 5 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.
Of all the Disney courses, the Magnolia supports a greater abundance of wildlife. At any given time, you're likely to see deer, osprey, alligators and turtles. A flock of wild turkeys has brought several tournaments to a standstill while they pecked along its fairways. The course features elevated tees and greens with wide and generous fairways graced by over 1,500 magnolia trees that bloom from late spring to mid-summer. Brightly colored crape myrtles and oleanders, along with beds of blue plumbego and seasonal flowers, add sparkle to an otherwise dense, natural forest.

Great value , Disney excellence
Staff, service, amenities galore. Loved my first Disney golf experience. Green fees very affordable! Enjoyed the course layout and pace of play was great.
Magnolia, a flower in bloom!
This is a very playable course in very good condition. A bit easier than the Palm, especially for ladies or short hitters. It was a very enjoyable round where we met two local residents who were nice guys.
Excellent All Around!
On the day we played, there was a huge collegiate championship that afternoon, but none of that interfered with the outstanding round of golf we had! What a Day! I would highly recommend this course to all my golfing friends!!
Could be better
Nice layout, fairways weren’t in the best shape. Greens a bit slow but rolled true.
Challenging and fun!
This course has something for everyone - risks and rewards. Loved it!
GREAT Value
EXCELLENT Layout, with a rich history. The condition was "ok", but to me that didn't matter. I couldn't help but imagine the fairways lined with spectators, and the greats of the game bombing away from the back tees. The staff was great! My only knock was the pace of play. Because the Magnolia is a resort course, there were quite a few "non-golfers" in front of us, that played REALLY slow...... but overall, the chance to ay a former PGA Tour course for such a great value is impossible to pass on.
Worthwhile
Very good condition, nice people, pace was very good, four minutes off pace. Par 5’s were challenging , no alligators - a plus.
Everything but there greens were world class.
Everything but the greens were incredible. Greens weren’t horrible but they were pretty sandy and had a lot of repair spots.
Goat ranch. Poor conditions, poorly managed
I will not waste money at a Disney course again. Had a poor experience at The Palm course 3/14/21.
Today another 5+ hour round. Greenside bunkers without sand but filled with hard packed mud. Most disappointing was the condition of the greens. Large areas on each green are unplayable; no amount of ‘vibrancy’ or renewed growth can overshadow the problems their greens face. Additionally if you tempt fate and play magnolia, watch your step as there are thousands of unaddressed potholes, everywhere you look, from golf course pests damaging the turf. Another reminder that consistent focus and effort over a period of time along with proper personnel management is what separates good golf from this AP golf management mess.
If members of management cared about guest experience, played the game of golf, or knew what good golf conditions looked like they would not blame a host of unrelated issues on slowed turf growth from a cold winter.
Disney visitors should head to shingle creek, the Reunion courses, grande vista or even a local municipal course if they want a better value and experience from their round.

Had a great time playing. Greens and fairways were in excellent condition. Disregard prior crappy reviews. Go and play the course. You will enjoy the round!
The course was in poor shape
I golfed this course 5 years ago and it was in great shape. I golfed the course yesterday and was very disappointed in the condition and the greens.
The greens had several repairs and patches. They were in very bad shape. I will not come back and play again. Walk would be disappointed.

After staring about 8 minutes late we had a marshal tell us on the 3rd hole that we had to pick up our pace . Which was funny because we were waiting on group in front of us all day . They also had a 2 some in front of us and behind us . If pace of play was a concern they should manage their tee times better . The condition of the greens were horrible and the Proshop said nothing to us . All of this was disappointing. Looks like years ago the course was great .
