Disney's Palm Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 6870 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 131 and a 73.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.
The natural Florida woodlands provide a stunning backdrop to one of America's premier resort courses. Architect, Joe Lee, designed the 6,870-yard Palm with elevated tees and greens. The key ingredient, of course, was the Florida palm and he made good use of nearly every variety for aesthetic and strategic purposes. Its fairways are crafted through a pine forest of mature, natural woodlands that includes moss-dappled oak, maple and cypress trees. Palmetto scrub fills the forest floor. It boasts of more than its share of water and sand with nine water holes and 94 bunkers.
This is a perfect choice for everything from a casual round to a large group outing.

Good test and great location
Great Disney experience always , this was the final leg of the Disney threesome , the only downside was the speed of the greens compared to the other 2 , much slower
Speed of play was good
Need to drive the ball well and in the correct part of the fairway
Play Disney Palm
Fantastic course layout and immaculately maintained. Very scenic with lots of wildlife.
Not enough for the price
The staff were anything but friendly. The course was in ok shape, but ok is 40 dollars not 105$ their are to many other exceptional courses to waste your money here. It's a 40 dollar course and staff that charges 105 because they pay for the Disney logo. Save your money and go somewhere else.
A really great course but slow drainage
This course is fabulous!!! and easily deserves 5 stars, when not wet. The only reason to downgrade to 4 stars is because the course was wet after overnight rains, thereby necessitating |"cart paths only" conditions. Standing water on most fairways and, because of the cart path only - made it difficult walking the course. Otherwise GREAT
Wonderful course
While I am not as well traveled aa many reviewers, I found this course to be the nicest I have ever played. I intend to make this an annual stop.
Poor Golf Course Management
First let me say that I did not play the Palm Golf Course today but was there as spectator hoping to watch my nephew play in a Florida Junior Tour event. I was accompanied by my elderly Dad who was just as excited as me to see his grandson play in his final golf tournament of the year, the Tour Championship. Being elderly, my Dad is unable to walk long distances and needed to have a golf cart to ride in. The worker at the course told me no carts were available for spectators even though I was more than happy to pay for it. I found this to be a bit hard to believe since the nearly 100 golfers who were playing in this event were walking and didn't need use of the golf carts. As I was leaving, I noticed long rows of carts that were not being used. The workers told me the carts were reserved for the golfers and that they could not spare even one of them. It was very unfortunate that my Dad and I were not able to watch the golf tournament and I was very disappointed with lack of service we received. I have great respect for Mr. Palmer and all of his accomplishments but can't understand why he would want his name associated with this bunch. What would Mr. Palmer think if he showed up to watch his grandson play in a golf tournament and received this kind of treatment?
The course has excellent greens
Course was in typical Disney condition-excellent. Fairways were cut tight and greens were very fast
nice course to play
i like the old layout much better than the revised one
Outstanding
Course is in great shape. Played for first time in two years. They put money into the course and it shows. I was a twosome and we were able to tee off on our own. A 3hr round made it that much better.
Absolutely outstanding!
We had an absolutely outstanding day, everything was perfect! I would love to play there again. If I had to pick fault with something then it would be the price of the beer! As I can't think of anything at all wrong with the golf!
Palm course
This was a fun course wildlife and all. I would say if you have the time get out and play this course.
Great experience
Really enjoyed my day at the Palms golf coarse. The course was in great shape and the views during the day were awesome. Would recommend playing this course while visiting the area.

Awesome golf facility
One of best courses in FL
A must play when in Orlando
Great staff, tough greens
Props to the staff...they had a huge event that morning and handled it wonderfully. They set a gap between the event and the folks teeing off. It was perfect. We got around in about 4 hours even with 4 of the world's worst golfers teeing off ahead of us. They disappeared and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Great job to the staff. The course was WET...we've had a lot of rain lately...and most parts were damp. My only two beefs with a course are pace of play and bad greens. The greens were in rough shape, rain notwithstanding. I had a few putts that should've been makeable but was putting over sod inlay and other bad spots. Good tourist course. Not crazy challenging...but fun.
Wet
Course was pleasant and had a good time. It was still wet even though we hadn't had much rain in the last several days
Very wet
Lovely course but soaking wet, better to play in a months time or so.
Very nice and great staff
Everything you'd expect from disney. First class service and friendly staff. Course was in good condition, and was a great layout.
Rain soaked course
The prize for over compensating when describing the condition of the course goes to starter Bob who exclaimed that the course, fairways and greens were the best they had been for 10 years.
Sadly, by his own admission, Bob hadn't played the course for a while.
We were forced to play the back nines of Palm and Magnolia due to repair work and problems caused by the weather. In normal, Floridian conditions, these are excellent courses but we were losing balls in the middle of the fairway today...!!
Coke and tiny bag of nuts = 7 dollars. Bit steep.
I payed a lot of my holiday money to play this course. I've always enjoyed the experience but today, prices should have been adjusted to reflect the condition of the course. Also, my here clubs were a bit 'road worn' compared with the new clubs I was provided with last time.
So. These are great courses but grill the staff on booking to find out how the courses are playing. Finally, the greens on the Palm, usually very impressive, are struggling. due to the weather.
Staff were friendly.
Not a "magical" day!
Course conditions were disastrous. Cart path only and a lot of water on the course. This is pretty surprising as it did not rain the day before and we played another course the faternoon before which was in an excellent shape. Probably the course itself is not that well drained. Apart from that' this course is overrated. Staff is average' no beverage cart' the club house is didiculous! Value for money is poor.
4.674 stars
wonderful course! usually a great escape from the disney crowds. play it before the land is developed into homes/condos (I'm still very sad about Eagle Pines)!
