Disney's Palm Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1971. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Palm Course at Walt Disney World Golf Resort measures 6840 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 134 and a 73.3 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.
The natural Florida woodlands provide a stunning backdrop to one of America's premier resort courses. Architect, Joe Lee, designed the 6,870-yard Palm with elevated tees and greens. The key ingredient, of course, was the Florida palm and he made good use of nearly every variety for aesthetic and strategic purposes. Its fairways are crafted through a pine forest of mature, natural woodlands that includes moss-dappled oak, maple and cypress trees. Palmetto scrub fills the forest floor. It boasts of more than its share of water and sand with nine water holes and 94 bunkers.
This is a perfect choice for everything from a casual round to a large group outing.

Great day for Florida golf
On one of the best golfing days in Florida, we were fortunate to play Disney's Palm course. The course is tons of fun - challenging but not too hard. The greens were great and the fairways beautiful. Great pace of play and wonderful staff. Thanks!
Disney golf
I found the course to tricky not all that long but a lot of water. Greens are fast and true.
I played off the second last tees and my friends played off the tees after the Reds, there was a big difference in length.
The course was nice and dry, bunkers in good condition. Good practic area and speed of play was good. I thought it would have been slow especially at Disney where you would expect family to be playing but no it nice and steady.
All in all a lovely course and some great holes.
Well worth a visit.
Awesome!
What a fabulous place to play golf! This was a perfect day! Course was great...challenging...beautiful!
Play one of the numerous other area courses!
Again, another letdown since Arnold Palmer Management started running the Disney Courses. We gave the benefit of the doubt last time, but this will be the last time we play any of the Disney courses. We had a tee time of 12:20 yet finished at 6pm, due to the 30 min delay in teeing off. We didn't see the beverage cart on the front 9, considering it was so slow, it would have been nice, she then went past us on the 15th. Serious back up on the Par 4 13th due to everyone thinking they can drive the green. We had three groups on the tee!! What has happened to all the great Disney staff?? The starter was a young kid who was clueless, he didn't know what he was doing. He had someone in his ear piece all the time, so he wasn't really listening to what the customers on the first tee were saying, as everyone was trying to find out if they would be teeing off any time soon. All in all a thoroughly disappointing experience with Arnold Palmer run courses. It's not the first time and probably won't be the last. It used to be great experience to play Disney courses, but now it just feels like profit before service. Having played many Orlando area courses over the last four years, I would say stay away from the Disney ones and go to Grand Cypress, Celebration, Championsgate, Waldorf Astoria, Reunion, Eagle Creek or even Mission Inn or Bella Collina. You'll have a better golf experience.
Disney Palm
Great friendly staff greet you when you come to The Disney golf resort
fantastique
un des plus beau terrain que j ai joue la nature et design sont incroyable
Great Shape
Best conditions I have seen on the Palm in years. The greens were quick and they are starting to soften up.
Course layout was great.
First time on a Disney course. Though I did not have a near par round, I enjoyed being out there.
Impressed
What a difference a week makes. Read some reports of this course last week and they talked of poor condition. With no rain for a week the place was great. Only 2 holes cart path only, fairways were excellent. I was told that all the greens had been rebuilt. They showed evidence of being new but were firm and true. Although I was a single I joined up with the 2 ball in front which then made playing behind numerous 4 balls more acceptable. Looking forward to my next outing here so I can retry the signature holes over water that caught me out.
Too wet should not be open
The course was so wet you sunk 2 to 3 inches into the grass on the fairways! Everytime you hit a shot you were covered in mud. Even the staff agreed it should not be open but Disney insist!
conditions
the course was so wet that I destroyed a new pair of golf shoes. Mud everywhere. The course should not have been open.
Well kept
The course was was in great condition. Cart path only for seasonal rainfall. The course is wide open and the GPS gives distances to pin or to lay up. For some reason I found the trees and away from the cart path. Greens are very fast and if you chipping from the wrong side you may find yourself I'm the bunker on the other side of the green. Not too many surprises few forced lay ups. Nice course
Fantastic
I always like playing the Disney Courses. As always they were in perfect shape. I was paired with other guys and we had a great time. We played in under 3-1/2 hours. Greens were fast and true. Tee boxes and fairways were perfect. Will be back again.
Awesome day
Great course and greens were immaculate. Wildlife and scenery also was amazing.
Challenging & fun course.
Nice course but needs more signage to driving range and hole #1
Palm Course to Wet to Play
Due to 5+ inch's of rain the day before the palm course was to wet to play. The starter asked us if we would like to play the Magnolia course instead and proceeded to check if there was an opening for us. We were able to go right out. NICELY done, This is why Disney course's are great places to play, The PEOPLE always go the extra step to make you day better.
Not as nice as other cheaper courses!!!!!
Played 5 rounds of golf in five days at five different Orlando area courses. This one ranks second to last in quality and value. Will not return or recommend to others.
Hot but great
Palm 're-did' their greens a couple of years ago. Nice job. even with the prior-night's rainfall, greens were firm, fast, and true. Course was wet but in good, playable shape. We were interrupted by the daily afternoon 1/2 hour rain but did not derail; our fun. Beverage cart stationary at the first/tenth tee but just as long as you know that, you can plan accordingly. Plenty of drinking water on course though. Fairways generally wide but fairway bunkers placed right where it seemed I wanted to hit the tee ball. Grren-side bunkers - some deep. suggest staying out of these. Enough water to get this 10 handicap in trouble - suggest not hitting it there.
Recommend - will be back.
Beautiful course!
Overall the course was beautiful but I do have a problem. The greens were so hard, I couldn't get anything to hold like at magnolia and LBV. Secondly the course was dead in many places and the starter was a rude college kid. Other than that everything was great.
Are you kidding me then why in the heck did you play golf and ruin your shoes if it was too wet to play then don't play totally totally your fault not even close to being Disney's fault if you want to play in wet conditions with a buddy of mine loves to then play if you don't like playing in the mud and in this wet and rainy then don't play totally 100% your fault absolutely 0% on Disney. . . Use your head my friend
