Great course. Very sporty which I like. Conditions were really good. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. The only criticism I have is the beverage cart could have come around a little more often.

Nice Day

The price is higher than most courses in the area but it is the Mouse House. Conditions were good except some of the tee boxes were uneven and lacking full grass.

The pace of play was fair with a Marshall moving slow play.

LBV golf

Course conditions were very wet with 4 holes “on path only”. So wet they were essentially unplayable. Staff was nice, pace of play okay , 4 1/2 hours . Otherwise enjoyable round of golf

Great course

My second favorite of the Disney courses after the Palms but can’t beat the cold towels that the golf assistant cart hands out.

Sixsome and overcharged. No Disney magic for me.

Where do I even begin.... I was charged $74.61 at the time of booking and an additional $330.00 at the course so I paid for 5 rounds @ $75.00. The pro shop guy didn't seem to care when I mentioned booking on Golfnow and already paying $74.61. The course was wet but that was expected. What wasn't expected was the 2 "groups" ahead of us pairing up later in the round and becoming a sixsome and they played like you would expect a group that would join up like that (horrible). I even took pictures as proof of them playing as a sixsome. Player assistant showed up on hole 16 and acted shocked and said she would do something about it. This was hole 16 and our round was already ruined. Also, she drove by them on hole 17 and did not say anything??!!. Ordered a hot dog at the turn that must have been in the warmer for about a week., the bun was hard and the dog was inedible.

I expected so much more for $75.00 (actually $100.00) per round. The course was in good shape and was a nice layout but I will never come back and will advise anybody I know to stay away as well.

Disney I am sure does not care but they have lost my business and I would warn others to look elsewhere.

P.S.

I played Championsgate on Saturday and was thoroughly impressed by the course and staff

Sixsome and overcharged

To start the guy in the pro shop ended up charging me for 4 rounds at the course even though it should have only been 3. I have a charge for 74.61 and then another $330.11 for the full 4 rounds. So I ended up paying over $400.00. On top of that the 2 "groups" ahead of us were buddies who joined up once out of range of pro shop (I took pictures to prove this). To make things worse they were not good golfers and never even offered to let us play through. Player assistant shows up on #16 and said she would look into the issue. She drove by them on the 17th tee and didn't notice anything !!!!??? and why bother at that point the round was completely ruined.

Disney is already overpriced but I will never go back there again and will warn all of my friend to look elsewhere for golf.

Played Championsgate on Saturday and it was a very good experience.

Good looking course

The course was great just aerated so the greens were bumpy. Difficult to putt on but otherwise the course was in great shape. You need to keep the ball in the middle of the fairway on the short grass otherwise some of the grass on the fringe was difficult to hit the ball. The pro shop wants to charge non residents more to play. I thought that was unfair.

Best Disney course

You’d think disney world would have the best courses in Florida but they don’t. Still probably one of the best courses in the area. Obviously you pay for the Disney name but it was fun. Good layout and the greens rolled quick and true.

Another enjoyable day...until it rained

This was our second time played LBV since we played it a couple of years ago on Christmas Day. The bag drop folks were cordial and approachable which is not always the case. My wife has two very bad knees and has difficulty walking great distances if the cart has to remain on the paths near the greens. We asked about deactivating the sensor on the cart which shuts it down if you get too close to the green and they politely referred us to the pro shop staff. As we paid for our golf we asked the very nice young lady about the sensor and she said that once we got out assigned cart to come and see her about deactivating the sensor. We did just that and off we went to the range to warm up. After hitting a few balls at the range we went to the first tee to check in with the starter and hit a few practice putts. The putting green is right next to the first tee which I think is awesome because you are right nearby when your tee time is called. We were paired with tow singles to fill our foursome. Nice guys and capable golfers as well. The four of us enjoyed the company of strangers during the round. The course was in nice shape but the geeens were slower than they looked. None of the four of us made a putt of any great length all day, but that was no fault of the greens, we just could not find the hole. On the back nine the hot Florida afternoon brought a storm in and on the 16 th hole we got a message on the cart’s GPS that we may receive a take shelter notice shortly. We heard thunder in the distance, but never saw an lightning so we hastened our pace to try to finish. On 17 we to the message to take shelter but we still had not seen any lightning so we kept going (we know we aren’t supposed to do that). We joined the twosome in front of us for the last two holes and raced to finish. The heavens opened up as we got to the 18th green and we did not hole out. For the most part it was a great day.

Now for the negative: we never saw a course Marshall and really needed one as the foresome in front of us were terrible golfers and we waited on every shot as they goofed around and hit extra shots on almost ever hole. While 2.5 hours for nine holes isn’t terrible, we would have been done in less than 2 if not for those clowns. Thankfully, they disappeared at the turn and play moved faster. The other negative was that the sensor on the golf cart was not disabled as promised and my wife was forced to sit out the back nine because of her knees.

We love the Disney courses and it is always a treat to play on courses with healthy grassy fairways and smooth, well conditioned greens.
