Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course
About
The 18-hole Lake Buena Vista Course at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, FL is a resort golf course that opened in 1972. Designed by Joe Lee and Rocky Roquemore, Lake Buena Vista Course at Walt Disney World Resort measures 6718 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 133 and a 71.7 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels. Greens and fairways are bermuda grass.
Styled in a classic country club setting, Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course meanders through pastel villas, pine forests, palmettos, sparkling lakes and other wonders of nature. Lush fairways and well-protected greens make this course as challenging as it is beautiful. Add an island green on the 7th, and it all tots up to a great golfing experience.

Great shape, greens were slow.
Great shape and got a great hot deal. Greens were in good shape but slow.
Sunrise 9
What a deal.
2 beers, breakfast sandwich, 9 holes with cart. Done by 1030, back with family by 11.
Course was in good shape all around. Staff were excellent all the way around. I will say, when disney ran the courses, they were in top notch shape and would get an easy 5 stars. They still get 4 stars. I can say enough about this sunrise 9.
The course was very beautiful
The course was very wet but that is no fault of the people as there was a heavy downpour the day and night before. Overall a great experience!!!
Always Great
By far my favorite of the Disney courses. We had a great pace of play up till 15 which was ok, weather was perfect, greens and course in general were in excellent shape given our minimal rain we've had. One of my favorite places in Orlando to play.
LBV review.
Main complaint is not the course, but no signage directing you to the course on the Disney complex. Was almost late for my round because of this. I even allowed an extra 1hr to get there. GPS is of no use on the Disney complex. It doesn't work well there. As far as the course, was disappointed with the fairways and greens. Not plush and green like you would think for a resort course.
Fun Course
Great staff from cart support, clubhouse, snack bar and starter. The course is in great shape. We only played the back 9 and only had 1 glitch; a couple in front of us were slow and on the third hole drove their cart on the fairway and backed us and others up. Even with that our 9 holes were played in less than 2 hours. Met a wonderful couple after the round and enjoyed the complimentary drinks with them on the patio. From the bag drop to bags back to our vehicle the staff members were outstanding.
Lake Buena Vista Golf
Played the sunrise course for nine holes yesterday, first time o the course: picked up a friendly partner after three holes, nice to play with him and the course was great! A twosome aheadcplayed extremely slow which took away a bit from the overall experience. I would play it again for sure.
Overrated
The Disney experience I've enjoyed on many occasions did not materialize today. The experience declined immediately upon entering the pro shop when an Asian woman behind the counter of the pro shop greeted me with the warmth of a lump of coal. If she could have dismissed me any faster, it would have set a world record. The starter decided that my wife and I would require as little effort as one could put forth. No greeting, no smile, no have a nice day...just where is your receipt....oh ok.....you really did pay for this round. Had the lack of humanity at the start of our round been the only problem, I could have left, while not happy, at least satisfied. Unfortunately, pace of play was glacial and for these prices, that is unforgivable. Will I play here again? No.
Disney LBV
Fun course, most enjoyable of the 3 for me. Like most things Disney, your gonna pay.
The prettiest of the three big Disney courses
Excellent layout and conditions. Onsite staff was extremely pleasant especially Brian in the clubhouse who was very accommodating to our group. I would highly recommend this track and would be my choice if I had to choose between Magnolia Palms and Lake Buena Vista.
Well done Disney!
Disney Never Disappoints
I played LBV after Christmas. From the bag drop to the player assistants on course, everyone seemed to really care that our round was a pleasant experience. An enthusiastic young lady from Kentucky met us at the bag drop. Chris in the pro shop was friendly and accommodating. We grabbed a quick bite at Chips & Slices and started our round. Course conditions were excellent. Traps were raked, greens rolled true & quick and the pace of play (4 hrs on the nose) was well managed by both GPS reminder and on course marshals. The beverage cart was well stocked and we saw Brooke at least 4 times throughout the round. After the round we were greeted by Bobby, the course manager and he invited us to return to LBV during our stay. It is easy for resort courses to coast on the steady traffic they get from vacationing golfers, but the friendly people at LBV went out of their way to make sure the round was a good value, regardless the cost. I plan to play again.
Best course in Orlando
I understand the fact that Disney World isn't exactly a place for a couple trip but the resort and golf courses are absolutely phenomenal. The actual resort at Disney without the theme parks is great for adults and couples. As we checked into are room at animal kingdom I asked about the golf and they told me that they golfing there is suberb.
Man were they right I made a 11:00 tee time the next day and I got to say everything from the course to the bar was perfect. The practice bunkers were great and range was amazing. The practice putting green was fast and rolled very well just like the courses greens.
On the course itself it was amazing and was right up there with one of the best courses in north Florida. There where lots of bridges which means there was lots of water. There where a good amount of forced carries and just hard challenges navigating through the course. It was one of those courses where you need to play it at least once to understand the course.
The bar and grill is a great place to catch the game and have something to drink with your buddies after your round. Best of all as you finish you can watch the other players on the course finish there round. Overall this was one of my most enjoyable rounds in awhile.
Very Good Course
Front nine was excellent. Scenic and quiet and moderately challenging. Course conditions were ok. This is a typical course set amongst the timeshare villas - which was fine through the front nine.
The back nine was a bit different - holes 13-17 boarder roads into the villas and the main drag. Since this course was close to Disney Springs, there was a quite a bit of traffic as it got closer to noon. Also frustrating through holes 14-17 was that there was a river/waterway running by the course. this in itself was ok - but when the water taxis/shuttles were running, they would sound a horn for about 15-30 seconds with a very annoying sound. You really have to stop play until the water taxis pass. They need to be more considerate of the golfers.
It's a nice course, just be prepared for the noise on the back nine.
Great Pace
I finished the course in 2 hrs 44 minutes! Great pace of play. I was behind a father and young son for 10 holes then caiight them and played in with them. One group let us through and we were home free! The course was in good shape and the greens were pretty true.
LVB GC NEVER DISAPPOINTS
As a local resident I love playing the Disney golf courses whenever possible. They are always well kept and the staff is super helpful. Despite being resort courses, they offer good discounted t-times from time to time, meaning you can play a better course for average t-time money. Playing them in the spring and winter at discounted prices is a bonus!
LBV Rangers are useless
Slow play. One group holding us up all day. Always a hole open in front of them. Ranger needs to wake up and do their job!
