Fine day on a great course
Although several holes were cart path only, this wasn't a big problem. Bring some extra balls as there are several potentials for loss. Although the course seemed busy, we never saw the people in front of or behind us all day. Played in 3 hours, 45 minutes.
Water standing everywhere and they charge my wife to ride with me
we were on a disney trip anniversary and my wife wanted to go and ride with me they charged her $15 dollars just to ride with me that's a joke I have played many other courses in Orlando and they did not charge her to ride with me
Not up to Disney expectations
Pace of play was painfully slow - the foursome directly in front of us were clearly beginners, and were in no hurry. We had to wait more than 15 minutes at the turn to tee off. On the 14th hole, a message was sent to our cart to let us know that the group in front of us was 1.5 holes behind the group before them, and that they had been "warned" to speed up their pace. On the 16th, a ranger came out and told our group that WE were the ones behind the pace at the turn. While we tried to explain to the ranger what we were seeing the group in front of us do to slow play, the ranger wouldn't listen to us and said the delay was because there was no cart girl at the turn. The whole interaction felt very unprofessional and rude, on top of our frustration of a five-hour round of golf - not up to Disney expectations.
Merry Christmas
Price is a little high if it was not a Christmas present for myself I probably would have played elsewhere. It is a nice course but comparable to the ones I play in Georgia for half the price.
Good for family golf
Staff were very kind for family golfers. My daughter enjoyed very much.
Nice Course
Excellently maintained and we got a Cold drink, coffee and a breakfast sandwich included in the price. Great deal.
Great course, excellent staff
Really like this course. Good challenges for a beginner such as myself. Staff and service were excellent
Most Enjoyable
Very friendly staff, there was some construction in the resort so finding the clubhouse/carpark was a bit tricky. The course was in great codition, the greens were undulating and true. Although it winds through a resort the fairways are some distance from the buildings.
Misleading booking information
When I went on to golf now to book this course I purposely looked for one with 18 holes the price according to golf now was $29 plus tax when my wife and I arrived at the course we were told that the $29 was a Sunday special for nine holes with drinks and a lunch which we did not want. In order to play the 18 holes we had to pay an additional $25 each. We were not the only ones to run into this problem as there were a number of other golfers who also booked on golf now only to find that it cost them more when they got to the course. This did not make any of us very happy.
Great experience
Great course, good value with a hot deal, but wouldn;t pay full price. Friendly staff, well maintained. a little tight. Would play again with a good deal.
Not Worth the Money
I had waited a few years to play a Disney course and I was greatly disappointed. There are many course in Orlando of better quality for less money. It was nice and very playable but not all the special
Fast Greens Excellent Condition
LBV is an excellent course with an awesome layout. My favorite part was the speed and consistent greens. The layout is great too. The pace of play was great for 6 holes then it slowed to a crawl. We found the problem on the 10th hole. It was a lady and man who were horrible. You do not have to be good to play fast. After 5 swings form the fairway it is time to pick up the ball. Other than that it was a great day.
slow play
when its hot u don't want to be stuck behind guys how cant play, I know its Disney but mickey could play faster. sorry.
Good value
Conditions were a little soggy the day we played due to heavy rainfall in the preceeding two weeks. Cart path only slowed play a bit, but the round went at a good pace anyway. Even with all of the ground moisture, fairways were highly playable and the greens were superior(not at all slow). A very good value.
Suffering from a month of rain
Tried to take advantage of a sunny day and play golf. Staff did warn us of wet conditions on the course, but had not planned on walking through mud on every hole - fairways and rough. Greens and tees were in excellent shape, but we stopped after 9 holes covered in mud and with soaked feet from walking through mud. Disney should probably close the course, as there were many areas totally destroyed by tractors/mowers attempting to get through the swampy conditions and are inflicting long term damage I fear,. We were given refund for the remaining 9 holes. Staff is always great there. Will be back after it dries out
This course was so wet it should have been closed
This course should have been closed. It was very wet and muddy. Nobody should pay for a course that is unplayable!! Sinking 2 inches in mud is no way to golf.
Course Condition
Quite good the greens were quite slow.
Good eighteen hole layout with challenging
Holes.
Always play here when we visit Orlando
overpriced
Nice course but for the money I'd rather play other course. Tell cut services ie they don't take players to their cars with their clubs anymore and if ur playing with someone and they are at the range they don't take u 2 the range u have 2 carry ur clubs 2 ur riding partners cart. They still expect tips though. Their range balls cost over $7.00 for a small bucket and less than 40 balls.
Great shape but greens just done
I love all three Disney courses and play them often. To be honest, since Palmer management has taken over I believe the service level has dropped compared to the high standard of Disney. I turned up at Palm once with no one greeting me, chose a buggy, paid inside and made my way to first tee. Again, no starter, no score card and no ice box on my buggy. The starter met us on the tenth tee and asked why we had teed off without his permission on the first. We waited 5 minutes past our tee time and no one was in sight. One thing I must say is that the service has remained top notch at LBV and only seems to have dropped at Palm and Magnolia. All three courses are worth a visit despite the lack of service.
Greens
I was told that the green we're ok after they had been holed but I found them to be really bad.
