No Disney experience here... total disaster.
Overall, disappointed. Course is tired and looks like it has been worn out due to the efforts of cramming as many people onto the course as possible. Staff were only interested in getting as many people onto course as possible, no gap with Group in front, so waiting on every single shot. whilst the greens were fine, the rest of the course was poor and wasn't well kept. We found several staff members rude, we were a 3 ball and first off the second day, when a single asked if he could play ahead of us. we had no problem with this as he would have waited all the way around so we let him ahead. the course starter got very upset by this!! we played this course twice but should have gone elsewhere, played the Waldorf Astoria which was an exact opposite experience. The cast members didn't do their job, we wont be back!. very poor.
lake buena vista
its Disney so everything was immaculate, well groomed staff extremely friendly.
Beautiful
I loved playing this course, and the price was reasonable
Fun Course
LBV is a Disney course with all the benefits of being within the Disney property with their related service excellence. Enjoyable resort layout--some noise from boats and water parks to deal with. Slow play can be a problem even with the ranger on the course.
Disney Golf
Recently played all three Disney course LBV had the best customer service and course condition of all three. We plan on playing LBV again but not the other two.
Great golf course
Excellent condition and a challenging course. Enjoyed the day. Compliments to the staff...super. Will definitely return.
Typical Disney course
good time except with couple they paired us up with. It was like playing with a couple of sloths. Very glacial in their approach to playing golf.
A $75 course
Greens received shots well, rolled fast and true but were pretty marked up from the amount of play this course gets. Plan on a 4.5 - 5 hour round. I'm an 8 handicap, played the tips and found the course enjoyable but so did my wife who played from the forward tips as beginner. Found this course and greens in better shape than the Magnolia which gets a massive amount of play. Staff was very friendly at the "happiest place on earth", Disney does train their people well. Found conditions good for a $75 rate not worth it if you have to pay the $125 - $150.
over priced for condition.
For price I expected better fairways. Greens too fast for amount of undulations & too many upside down bowl shaped greens. Would be a good $75 course, but not $150.
Nice Course
I found the course fun and challenging. Will go again.
Good condition but slow play
The course is in pretty good condition, as you'd expect that at Disney. The greens were running fast but did hold the ball on approach. It had recently rained and it was cart path only, so that coupled with the slow group in front of us made for a long round. We were frequently waiting for the group ahead to clear and finished around 4.5 hours.
Staff are wonderful
The staff made this a great experience. From the bag drop caddie, to the Pro every one had a positive and helpful attitude!
Yes, the golf course was awesome, but the staff made the difference!
Amazing
Lucked out with an afternoon tee time, after a morning shower. Pace of play was great at 3:15, last time through it was 4:45, be aware that if weather is nice it will be a long round. The course was in fantastic condition and the green rolled true and somewhat fast. The starter and ranger were both fantastic.
I would recommend a very early round or cross your fingers for rain to end right before your round starts.
The course was awesome
The course was an excellent experience I had a lot of fun.the golf course is in excellent shape, and the staff was extremely friendly and professional
If in Disney
Course was well maintain. Great greens and friendly staff. Front nine narrow and unforgiving. Back nine challenging but outstanding! Pace of play at 3 pm was goog barely got 18 with the daylight
Somewhat disappointed...
First let me say the entire staff were excellent...what I'd expect from a Disney experience. My wife and I wanted to enjoy the experience so we showed up early to enjoy lunch, warm up on the range etc. The restaurant didn't open until 4 so our only option was the half way house. The course and the surrounding vacation villas are beautiful to look at however the course was very wet, boggy, despite only receiving 5-10 minutes of rain for the entire week of our vacation. There must be some drainage issues with the surrounding lakes/swamps etc. The golf ball plugged and black water came up from the fairways as we walked to our ball. We went back the next day to pick up some things in the pro-shop and it was cart path only despite no rain. Need to work on drainage and have the restaurant open for lunch. We played on a Sunday and the course was full so lack of patrons shouldn't have been an issue.
Hard to believe the pros used to play this.
This course was not a good experience. We started with nobody around us at 1:15. Played the front reasonably quickly but it became clear that this course is almost unplayable. Out of bounds everywhere on the front nine. And these aren't just OB, they are cottages. I think we hit three houses. And we aren't that wild. We turned at 3:00 and then played one of the most painful nines of my life. Three hours of waiting at every shot. It is more open on the back although there are more homes on the 17th that must get hit with regularity. Skip this course if at all possible.
great course,poor extras
the course was outstanding, fast greens well kept up.the off course amenities poor.no parking near clubhouse,i had to park quarter mile from clubhouse.hey disney if you're going to build to make more money in areas that were not intended then make sure your customers can use what was originally built for that purpose.used golfnow but pro shop employee chided me because i didn't live close enough to disney.i've lived in florida for 23yrs.now(probably longer than the pro shop employee)and i supported their courses and the old disney tournament for years.if you don't like my money i'll not spend it on any more disney or arnold palmer properties again
Great Course!
I played this course once in the summer and it was cart path only even though the tee time never stated that. I decided to come back in the winter when there hasn't been any rain in the past week or so because I thought the course was beautiful. The staff was great. The course is in fantastic condition. Greens are quick but not overly fast. Tee boxes and fairways are also in great condition. I definitely wouldn't pay the rack rate but I would definitely play it again if I found a hot deal. The pace of play was great. There was a stationary cart girl posted up at the turn. I can't wait to return.
Not worth the price
The course really needs to be rebuilt. It's gotten pretty ratty looking. Compared to Celebration golf corse it comes off looking even worse and costs more. Don't bother with the Disney courses and play Celebration instead.
